Then I add 1 T. butter in pan and fry the apples and add 1 t. Vanilla 1/2 t. cinnamon brown until apples are soft then add brown sugar to taste 1 c. oatmeal 1 1/2 c. Water and 1/2 c. milk cook about 5 min. On low heat

I Love it !

I've eaten old fashioned Quaker oats my whole life. I'm over sixty and I still Love them. I use them to make meatloaf. I was surprised to learn that 1/2 cup dry ( whole cup cooked) has 5 grams of protein. Who knew? Most people I know, who are oatmeal lovers have lower cholesterol levels as well. I tout the greatness of oatmeal to my friends and co-workers. and who does'nt Love the fact you've kept the box basically the same. familiar and friendly, two words everybody Loves. Thanks!

This product is a good value for the price and usually lasts me 6 months to 9 months. This is a breakfast staple. Comes good in the microwave if add extra water than the instructions. Also comes better on stovetop with water or milk. Favorite plain oatmeal product and will buy always!

Maggots in Oatmeal

Simply put, my oatmeal had maggots in it. The nest if used by date is Feb 10, 2016. I am very unhappy about this now I am concerned about the other packets I have and must spend 15-20 min sifting through the oatmeal looking for bugs. Worse than that, they don't always show when they're dry.

Love the 'new' packaging!

I eat Old Fashioned rolled oats at a minimum of 6 days/week and it's the main ingredient of my favorite no-bake cookies. I buy the 42oz canister and the handy pouring punch out is a real up-grade to using other brands. It sounds a bit 'market-y' to be gushing over a punch-out pouring area but it makes a huge difference when I just want the stuff to go into the bowl or measuring cup without getting on the counter! I bought another brand when the Quaker's was out of stock & learned my lesson - I was hating breakfast until I finished the canister and opened up Quaker's again.

Worse oatmeal I’ve ever eaten

Not only has the package change the taste is changed and the oats has changed. They do not cook down like they should they used to be creamy. You could cook it all the way down it would turn out creamy it’s not doing that. It’s very chewy and the taste is awful definitely does not taste like oatmeal anymore. I don’t know what you’re doing to it but whatever it is it’s changed from 50 years ago.

I use Quaker Old

I use Quaker Old Fashioned oats to make my overnight oats for breakfast. I have also used it to make an oatmeal-baked breakfast casserole with fresh berries that my kids loved. The old-fashioned oats are easier to work with in cooking than the instant.

Not the original old fashion Quaker Oats

I’m in my 60s I grew up eating Quaker Oats. As I remember old-fashioned quaker oats takes more than five minutes to cook. Today I couldn’t figure out why my old-fashioned quaker oats was soupy, until I read the instructions and it said cooks in five minutes. Even though it is still delicious old fashion quaker oats takes more than five minutes on the stove top and have a stronger oat consistency. Now old fashion equal five minute oatmeal, no good

Breakfast for hubby and myself

We both enjoy eating oatmeal at least once a week, especially during chilly weather. I eat mine with just melted butter while my husband uses some sugar and nutmeg or raisins and milk on his. Cooking the oatmeal is easy and it always turns out perfect. This is a staple in our household.
