I am so sorry to see the decline in quality of a brand I used to trust. I've been so disappointed bag after bag for the past couple of years. I even tried the small bags thinking they would be fresher. Nope. Borderline rancid. Definitely time to move on to another brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very happy that I was chosen to sample David's original sunflower seeds since I am addicted to them. I have loved David's Original Sunflower seeds since I was a kid. I really like the jumbo size seeds.

I have bought your seeds for years, but the last several bags I have bought, at different locations, have tasted burnt or stale. Also this last bag was seriously full of empty shells! These issues never used to be the case! I really hope you guys get it together!

I have looooooved David Sunflower Seeds since I was a child. I couldn't WAIT to go to the corner stores and buy a .50 bag. Okay... I may be telling my age. Over the years, the taste has been awful. Some taste burnt, stale, or even rotten. I've even tried other brands and they are horrible. Anytime I've had a bag, I HOPE that its a "good bag". What happened to the ones that's less sodium? What has changed? Please find the original recipe because what you are currently doing is subpar.

The seeds and flavors themselves are all great. However the packaging on these seeds is positively atrocious. There is no clear place to "tear" the top of the packaging off to access the resealable zipper. I can always get close to the resealable zipper, but never to where I can peel the the zipper apart. Instead you have to then grip the sides of the package and pull the bag open in it's entirety. Without fail, this always has a section of the resealable zipper peel away from the wall of the bag. This entirely defeats the point of having a resealable product. I've had this issue occur on 4 different bags across 3 different flavors over the past 2 months (June/July 2023), all purchased from different locations. I'm not sure if this is a particular batch of bags that have been faulty or simply a result of choosing cheap packaging. Regardless, it is hard to recommend this brand when you need to provide your own zip-lock bag to keep them fresh. Davis needs to invest in better packaging and/or quality assurance. Dissapointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love David Sunflower Seeds! The original flavor are definitely my favorite. These are a great size, fresh and delicious. My kids and I love cracking open the shells and getting the yummy sunflower seed out. It's such a fun and easy snack, and tasty too. I've tried the shelled ones before but there's something about getting them from the shell yourself. The packaging is bright and keeps the seeds fresh for later snacks. I definitely recommend David Original Sunflower Seeds!

My wife eats these a lot while studying and I feel like I need to keep snacking while I study too but the amount of rotten ones I find isn’t worth eating these. I mindlessly eat these and the get a really bad one. So I started looking at them when I open them and there are so many rotten ones. It totally turned me off of them.

I bought two bags (Original and Original Jumbo) in the last 4 months and the quality with both is very disappointing. For every dozen seeds, there are 1-2 rotten or burnt ones. I've never experience that with David Seeds. Maybe staffing is down because of covid. Or you've had to hire new people and they haven't gotten the quality down yet. Maybe the seeds themselves were bad this year. Something is wrong though and I won't be buying David for awhile. Too gross and disappointing.

Second time with this issue. I even called in about this. The zip lock part is fused closed. Tried to pull it apart and no luck. Have to use scissors to cut them open but now I can’t keep them fresh. Code on this bag is 2119303905 with time stamp 04:33

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delicious tasting sunflower seeds! This bag had a great portion of sunflower seeds. I was able to use this product as a snack and a meal replacement. The seeds had the perfect amount of salt, which made them very flavorful. Definitely add these sunflower seeds to your grocery shopping list.
