My husband loves these

I prefer baguettes but this is an excellent substitute, as my husband loves to make sandwiches with these and I like to use them as 'little French breads' they make good little garlic toasts, too.

Hard Dry Bread

Hard bread. Lately, I've been having deliveries but some of the groceries are in bad shape or missing items. This is the 3rd time I got bread and it's hard as a rock

Good price, good flavor

I keep these in the freezer. They are versatile. Can be used for garlic bread, French bread, French dips or hoagie rolls. Really like having them on hand in a pinch.

Love this bread! It's fresh bread so it will turn quick in 2days if not used. I freeze mine in zip lock bags.. easy to make garlic bread or subs! One thing I would change, Sam's please put a twist tie on it for easy opening and closing please.

Simple, but satisfying.

Great for a full sized sub. The bread has a light-medium texture and density, with a thin and soft crust. The bread itself has a fairly mild and neutral flavor. This bread doesn't seem to have any preservatives, so in the Houston humidity and warmth will get moldy in a few days, long before it goes stale. I would suggest freezing uneaten loaves and simply thawing or warning them in an oven before use. Lightly toasting them was fine. The didn't end up with a hard crust, making for a solid sandwich. I specifically made a cheesesteak, a notoriously wet and greasy sandwich. They held up about as well as can be expected, meaning they got soft and absorbed liquid, but didn't turn into mush. Overall these loaves were a solid buy if you are looking to make a sandwich where the bread isn't a major flavor component.

Good every time

I like these rolls. I like a nice light yet crisp piece of roll, am very picky, especially for my cheesesteak. These are pretty good. They aren’t quite as good as others I’ve had, but definitely a wise choose if you are looking for a guaranteed good roll.

Deliciously Soft

The hoagie bread has a nice crust that is firm but not hard while the inside is soft and fluffy. It works great as a bread to dip in soups or sauces, make homemade deli sandwiches, and to make cheesy garlic bread. One bag usually lasts 1 week for a family of 4, if we are really craving bread.

Make it fresh!!!!

First, why don’t they have the package with two French breads anymore? Second, why can’t they ever have bread that is baked that day on the shelf. It is always 1-2 day old bread. However, we do like the bread. We get it often. I just get so mad when it is not fresh!!!

WHY?!!!?

Every bakery employee assured me that the hoagie rolls were made from the same dough as the French bread. I bought some. They were more expensive than the bread. I didn’t try them them. Other family members did and there was no comment. WHY IN THE WORLD would you stop making French bread loaves? These were a staple for our family dinners!

So fresh!

I bought these to cut in half and use for sub/hero sandwiches. The bread was soft and delicious. These could also be split in half and would make excellent garlic bread if spread with butter and sprinkled with oregano & granulated garlic and baked for 10 min. Will definitely buy again.
