The last 3-5 rolls we have bought have had SO much fat in them compared to previously. There's also been bone or cartilage fragments that are sometimes as big as a tooth mixed in. It is gross. And then on top of that, you're bagging it yourself to end up with terrible quality meat still.

We used to buy this religiously, however we have noticed a sharp decrease in quality over the last 6 months. The last 3 times we have purchased specifically, the meat has a funky smell, tastes horrible, and when biting into it, it has pieces that are rubbery and hard. Such a shame because this used to be our go-to and it was nice to buy and divide.

I kept buying this roll of ground meat hoping it would improve. All three rolls I ended up buying were terrible. I am lucky I haven't broken a tooth on all the bone bits that are in these rolls. I don't see how they can be 90/10. Just looking at the meat it doesn't seem possible. Full of bone bits and nasty gnarly gristle that is so unchewable you have to spit them out. Not buying any more, that's for sure. I have probably 10 -15 burgers left and have started collecting the bone fragments in case I do break a tooth. It was the same whether purchased at Oakwood Village or Brooklyn. I would never serve to guests at a barbecue.

The quality has decreased as significantly as the price increased. Tons of extra fat, gristle and stringy white bits (arteries?) are being included in the package.

We have bought this ground beef for several years and have been pleased until recently. The past 3 rolls, we use one roll a month, have had chunks of gristle and pieces of bone in them. Cannot recommend and we stop buying.

The first couple we ordered were fine, but the last one had so much grizzle and hard bits that can’t even be chewed. We are trying so hard to make it through the rest of it so it’s not money wasted.

I was considering buying this product in store several times and every time I go in the store and see the tube of it, you can see it is clearly not 90/10. There are just as many white specs as there is red. It looks like it is even less than 73% lean. I hold it up to the 85-88% and you can clearly see the difference - almost no white in the 88% lean. I don't know whether the 90% white specs are fat, gristle, cartilage, or ligaments, but I do know I don't want any of that! The price is good and there's a reason for that and it's because it's not real 90% lean. I don't know if this is an issue at every store; I would assume it is, but at the West Mifflin, PA Sam's Club it is definitely a big issue.
