Bummer

Purchased because of price point. Broke it down into manageable cooking portions. Weird color, ZERO taste even for 90/10. Will not buy again due to the lack of flavor and sketch color. Will go back to Aldis to purchase my 90/10 since it actually has flavor.

BEWARE! It is NOT always 90%/10% - gristle/fat

Don't expect 90%/10%! Very disappointed in this product. Lots of fat and gristle. It is NOT Sam's quality. They say you can always "bring it back. . ." but I am handicapped, have a 24/7 caregiver . . . it's NOT easy to do. Safer to buy what they grind there at the store, this is brought in, I've been told from numerous suppliers; some good, some not so good! BEWARE! 90%/10% should be wonderful burger, NOT this one.

What's going on Sam's?

First off this 90/10 is not lean. I found massive fat chunks inside the roll. The meat itself is super oily and gross. I cooked some of it in a dehydrator to make ground beef jerky. The other as pan cooked ground beef for crispy tacos or burgers. The texture for all the different ways cooked was disgusting! It's gamey, greasy (even after wiping away most of the grease), and extremely tough with tons of nerve like texture. The flavor is gross. It has a chemical and old grease flavor and taste a bit off. So upset at the poor quality of meat they have been having lately.

Quality has went way down

I've been buying this for years & it's always been better than other stores, but this last 10 lb chub I bought in February was awful. It was so full of gristle & so stringy & tough that I could barely break it up in the pan when browning it. My husband is a hopeless optimistic, so he ate in without complaint, but I'm pretty sure I would starve before eating it. I don't normally complain, but come on...lower the price & inform people when the quality goes down that much. I could've bought it some place else & actually been able to eat what I bought.

Lots of byproduct added to make up weight

This was the nastiest ground beef I have ever bought. 90/10. Yes there was not a lot of grease but they replaced the fat with all sorts of nasty by products. A lot of grussel and what looked like arteries. I know that's normal but the amount of the arteries pieces in the cooked meat freaked everyone out. I would not buy this product again.

Nutrition Information needed

This ground beef is an awesome value. However, nutrition information for it is not available. The meat department does not have it and I can not find it online. 90/10 is a good indicator, however can mean different grams of protein / ounce of beef, grams of fat/ ounce of beef, and total calories/ ounce of beef depending on the gound beef itself. Searching 90% lean ground beef yields differing values. This information is important for individuals following a strict Carb:Protein:Fat (ratios or %) nutrition plan.

YUK x 10

Two weeks ago we purchased a 10lb roll of 90/10. This was the most disgusting ground beef ever! Buyers need to get this problem fixed with their suppliers and ENSURE that only the best is being shipped to Sam's Club locations. At present we are looking at options to send some of this yuk to have it lab tested. Again, the buyers need to reaffirm with their suppliers that ONLY the best highest quality meat will be accepted in the Sam's network of warehouse locations throughout the USA!!!!!

Arithmetic Error:

There appears to be an error in the calculations, it can't be 90% lean and 10% fat when 15% of it is gristle. This is easily the worst meat product I've ever had the misfortune of purchasing. It's so full of gristle and elastin that every bite feels like I'm flossing and chewing on rubber spaghetti. I can't use it for burgers, meatloaf, taco meat, chili, sloppy Joes, jerky, nothing. I bought nearly 10lbs of it to stock up for dinners, but it'll all have to go to the dumpster, along with all of the freezer bags into which I carefully portioned it out. It almost made me want to get a dog, just to confirm that this meat in fact isn't good for anything. DO NOT BUY THIS. Save your money and go somewhere else. Consider yourself warned.

Dishonest weight and lean content labeling

Every time we have gotten this each tube is about half a pound less than what it says and last time it was not more than 85% when it was labeled 90%. it was SO greasy!!! We have just stopped buying this meat from Sam's Club because their meat dept is so dishonest.

NOT ACCURATE WEIGHT

I just bought one of these packages at the Augusta Sam's Club. It was supposed to be 10.5 pounds. I separated the beef into baggies to freeze. Someone tell me why I only have 8.5 pounds of beef??? There is no way between the liquid in the bag and the plastic that comes near to over 10 pounds. Someone needs to recheck their scale in the back, because that is a scam.
