this used to be good hamburger but now it's full of nasty gristle. this has happened twice now. I'm not paying that much money for crappy product. don't bother buying!

Not Lean - Very fatty

I usually buy the 90/10 version in the pack, not the chub and it is very good. When I make this chub meat, it cooks up VERY greasy. Both times we have had it for meals (tacos and spaghetti), I have literally picked large pieces of fat from my mouth. I think I'm just going the toss the rest. I do not believe it is 90/10 as listed. Perhaps 70/30?

Nice lean beef

I needed 50 lbs of beef for a special project. The beef was used for meatballs to feed a crowd. I normally buy the smaller flats that are available in the club. With the price per pound difference and quantity needed, it was great. The quality seemed the same and the meatballs turned out great with little grease after cooking. Will buy again,

Love it sometimes

We buy an average of 2 tubes of 90/10 per week. It happened that it was a different meat supplier and the meat had an awful smell to it during cooking, as well as storing it in the fridge after cooking. When cooking it on a regular basis, it is easy to detect awkward smells. I wasn't even going to feed it to our dogs at that point. I understand the taste of the meat depends on how the cows were held and what they were fed. This past week ( Dec 7th, cooked on Dec 8th 2017) I bought 2 tubes and the smell is beyond acceptable. Almost hurts the nose like nail polish remover. It would be a bit embarrassing to come to the store with a big pot of cooked ground beef. Unfortunately I won't trust my luck of getting good beef anymore. Don't have $80-$90 to waste per week:-(

tough tendon pieces

3 out of the 4 or 5 times that I bought this meat I had to throw away the meals that I made with it. There are TONS of tough tendon or ligament pieces through the meat making it inedible. Don’t waste your money on it.It might not be the same in all sams clubs but that’s how it is from the sams in Keller, Tx

Magots found in the meat.

Have bought this several times in the past and was pleased with the product but after our purchase on May 25th we will never buy the bulk rolls again. We picked it up, took it home and sectioned it into several sections. Then vacuum sealed it and froze it. On June 24th we pulled a package out of the freezer to defrost. When we thawed it out there appeared to be some objects in the meat. Turned out to be Magots (dead). Had to discard all of it to be safe.

Somethings changed!!

We buy the 90/10 ground beef quite frequently but lately it's changed in color and texture. It's almost as though it's a thick paste texture and is now very watery when cooked. Definitely NOT the same meat or quality that we've been buying. Something is very wrong here.

Purchase again????

I purchased this chub on March 10. As I was dividing for the freezer I noticed that the color is almost an artificial red, its so bright. Then I made two meatloafs. After cooking, I started cutting them and noticed chunks that didn't cut smoothly. After serving my husband and myself we started eating and we both found chunks of grisly beef. I'm so thankful that I didn't make this for anyone other than just the two of us. I have purchased this product in this form from Sam's Club many times and I am very disappointed at the quality I received this time. Your cost has gone up and your quality has gone down. I may need to rethink where I choose to make meat purchases.
