Expectations not met!

Love the coffee taste but, the coffee keeps dripping after I remove the carafe for both the basket and the single serve. Also I was expecting the carafe to keep the coffee as warm as my Fellow French press (love it!) but it does not. After half an hour, the coffee is tepid.

Great coffee maker but optimized for smaller batch brewing.

Great coffee maker. Fairly intuitive to use despite all the features. The carafe is easy to clean because the entire top is the lid, however i find it doesn't keep the coffee hot for as long as other “thermal” carafes. Also, I feel like the basket is a little small for 10 cup brews, which compromises the quality of the brew. Optimal coffee flavor and consistency achieved with single serve up to 6-7 cups.

Great If You Have a Morning Routine and Value Time

I usually do a pour over or a French press in the morning before leaving for the office for work. Although I love it, it does cut into the time that's precious for my mourning routine. The greatest advantage with the Aiden is that feel as if I'm getting that taste of the pour over, without how much time it takes me to create a good pour over in the morning. The added dial, the brewing selections, and customization options help give me the same crafted tasting pour over quality cup of coffee without the amount of preparation. I use the timed brew feature the most and use it every morning.

Great coffee, great features

Makes great coffee and is easy to use. I love that my husband can make his scheduled batch brew and I can then my single cup which I can tailor to the type of coffee I'm making, ie, light, medium, or dark roast. I put in the amount of water and coffee specified with guided brew and the coffee comes out great.

Super Solid and Convenient

Let me preface this by saying this is my first drip maker, so really I don't have a comparison, this is my starting point. For the last few years I have been an Aeropress lover, it's fairly quick, easily customizable, and easy to clean, what's not to love? As my schedule has been changing, and I have less and less time in the morning to invest in my coffee routine, I've been looking to automate as much as I can. This Aiden is easy to use, makes really great coffee, and takes 5 min to brew and clean, with almost all of that time being automated, meaning I have time to get other things ready. The coffee has good body, excellent smell and flavor, and a smooth finish. It does lack the feel of Aeropress, but only slightly. I've been using the light roast setting (customized on the instant brew setting), with 20g coffee for 2 cups brewed in the single serve basket, and 42g coffee for 4 cups brewed in batch basket. All coffee ground to medium coarse (level 8 on my Oxo conical burr grinder). The coffee is boutique shop drip quality, never feeling over or under done. It took a few attempts to dial in my grind setting and weight, but after that initial period, I have my system, and I believe it to be very good. I'd have no problem offering my brew to any barista who'd want to try. The app, while you CAN download it, doesn't really serve any purpose at the moment, maybe I'm missing something, but I doubt it. I won't judge the coffee experience off of that though. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to maintain, the Aiden is a solid grade A machine. It looks nice too!

Very Pleased!

It's been 2 weeks with Aiden. I've enjoyed every single cup/brew so far. This was a birthday gift to myself and by far my best one. Despite the app not being ready to use, the performance of this device makes up for unnecessary app functions. I haven't gotten into the finer customization options yet because we are still making our way through the default programs designed for the paired coffee sent with Aiden. Notes from my boyfriend: For a first gen device, the functionality is very good!

Aiden + Opus, Café-Level Cups

If you want filtered brew clarity without giving up café-level flavor, Aiden nails it: single cup, full carafe, and even cold brew. I picked up Aiden in July 2025 with the Opus grinder, and it has made great coffee my default. The extraction is steady, the cups are perfectly balanced, and the results repeat day after day, rivaling...even exceeding...that of the best barista pour-overs. Why it works in daily use Single cup or full carafe: Aiden includes a single-cup basket and shower pattern for standard #2 cone filters, plus a basket and shower pattern for batch brews. No proprietary filters or pods. I brew straight into a mug for one or into the handsome Aiden carafe for guests. Smart presets that reduce guesswork: Choose roast level and cups, and Aiden tells you how much coffee to grind. Press start and it handles the rest. I mostly brew single cups, and sometimes bump the grounds-to-water ratio for a more robust cup. Profiles that update: Built-in profiles, custom presets for my taste, and special “Fellow Drops” recipes for beans purchased on the Fellow site. Wi-Fi keeps the brewer and profiles current. Schedule and sip: I can schedule a brew so it's ready first thing in the morning, which is a small luxury I now refuse to give up. Cold brew without the mess: The cold brew profile is smooth, silky, and much simpler than the traditional multi-container routine. Thoughtful app: The Fellow app makes it easy to browse profiles, create new ones, schedule brews, and see exactly how a quality recipe is built. It also reminds me when it's time to descale. Easy upkeep: Filters in, grounds out, quick rinse. Maintenance has been simple. Taste and consistency Cup quality is clear and balanced with excellent sweetness, matching or exceeding what I get from careful manual pour-overs, and day-to-day consistency is better. Aesthetics The Aiden and Opus look great together on the counter and feel like a proper setup, not a compromise. Bottom line For anyone who wants café-quality results at home with the flexibility of single-cup or carafe and the convenience of automated simplicity, Aiden is the move. Pair it with Opus and you're set. P.S. Aiden handles my daily filtered cup. Espresso remains a passion, and I'd be glad to put the Espresso Series 1 through a thoughtful, objective review.

Love it, wish the carafe were insulated

I like most things about this coffee maker. Other reviewers have covered all the great things and the shortfalls. My missing is because at this price, I'd expect a carafe that at least attempts to be insulted. Maybe it's intentionally thin-walled to allow cooling a larger batch down to drinking temperature more quickly, but by the time I get to the second cup of a 500ml brew, it's room temp.

Expensive, but really good

Only had this for a week or so, but the coffee I've made so far has been great! I am excited to really dial everything in with the brew profiles, lots of experimenting to do, but the default profiles make some really good coffee as is. It's expensive, there's no way around that, but the quality and customization that is available is unmatched by any automatic machine I've used.

Great Product!

This coffee maker is really beautiful. Color is amazing. More compact than the previous one which opens up a corner of my kitchen too. Have had it about 2 weeks and really put it through the paces. All the Brews, Scheduled brew (very easy). Coffee is really hot! love that the water container is easily removed from the unit. And it only uses the correct amount of water! Really easy to clean. Great product. Highly recommend.
