Nice brew, not great carafe.

I very much like the brew of this machine. It is not a five star produce because of its carafe. While they could easily have created an insulated carafe that does not lose heat, they have not. Coffee just does not stay warm long enough.

Great coffee, thermal carafe needs improvement!

Makes great coffee! I love the ease of use and the simple style. My only complaint is the thermal carafe does not keep the coffee warm long enough. Maybe 30 minutes… this needs significant improvement.

My coffee has never been

My coffee has never been more bold and delicious. I very much enjoy how it walks you through the steps to get your coffee just the way you like it. My only drawback is that the pot doesn't keep the coffee super hot for long at all, so normally I just make a serving at a time.

Overall a really big fan

Overall a really big fan of this product. As a specialty coffee nerd and almost exclusively pour over consumer (at least at home), it makes an impressive cup. I do have two complaints/bummers that lose the 5th star: 1) the majority of material being plastic is pretty lame especially from such a reputable coffee brand. Maybe it would have hiked the price up and strengthened the barrier to purchase for more layman coffee drinkers, but personally less-to-no plastic materials would have brought this closer to a 5-star product. 2) Others have critiqued this, so I'm just adding fuel to the fire, but the fact that you have to start a brew based on how much yield you want (i. e. how much liquid coffee you want to drink) vs. how much coffee you actually have is very irksome. By the time I'm finishing a bag, I have remnants that don't make full cups; I'd love to just tell Aiden how much coffee I have left (at the end of a bag, anything from 10-15 grams) and it just know how much water to use. That's a niche example, but overall I feel like this design decision was probably made with non-specialty coffee drinkers in mind who just put like 3 scoops of ground coffee in and don't think about how many exact mL of coffee they want or people who aren't concerned with getting to the end of a bag and not knowing what to do with ~10g of beans. Anyways, I love Fellow and am happy to have this product. I honestly don't want a 2.0 to come out with these fixes because the consumer in me will get all itchy — but if y'all are dreaming of what to change about a future version, these 2 points are my personal biggest necessary changes!

Every detail is well thought

Every detail is well thought for the digital age. This is a product slapping digital experience on a proven coffee maker format. Instead it thinks from the first principles how coffee is brewed and how that should be done now that microcontrollers are given.

Decent coffee but not worth the headaches

We have had this less than a year and get constant errors about there being no water…when the water bin is full. Makes decent coffee but not worth the headache. Support wants you to be their tech team and do 17 diagnostics before proceeding with help.

This is a warranty replacement

This is a warranty replacement the original one didn't last more than a year before it had problems. It's a high-end expensive item that doesn't last at all. I just wanted the replacement to retain some slight value and I would never recommend it to anyone.

I have one at home,

I have one at home, and we have one in each of our offices in Texas, Arizona, and Washington State. Straight out of the box, this brews incredible coffee and makes things easy. Small pour-over cups or large 10-cup brews - it's easy! Not only that, we have saved profiles. This helps with what we are brewing. Whether it's a dark roast or a washed Ethiopian coffee, it is dialed in every single time. The Aiden is a game changer for home brewing. There is nothing anywhere as good as this on the market. We are fanboys for sure!! Creature Coffee approved!

The best machine money can buy

Earlier in the year my son bought an Aiden and I loved its design/look. He then convinced me to pre-order the espresso machine S1 which I did. In the meantime we tried various Aiden coffee profile and started to think how superior this machine is compared to my old Cuisinart. I began to taste some coffee notes, a difference between the beans that is beyond the binary good or bad I was used to. My wife misses the hot plate as she likes hot coffee, for a long time, while I discovered that coffee at different temperature do taste fuller and better. After a few months with the Aiden, I have a problem: I like specialty coffee and no thanks to burnt coffee. My solution to keep my coffee warm for longer = buy a carter mug with the slider lid! I really like the idea of the Aiden profiles (recipes) and I did try a few bags from the Fellow Drops. It is superior to anything I've experienced before - I am not at a state yet where I taste all the notes so the drops (and the people behind it) is a fantastic help. I also started to look at the Chat GPT brew links - genius! My current problem with the "recipes" is the grinder part. I did buy the Fellow OPUS so that I get a direct guidance, but the recipe gives you a range. That is helpful for sure, but it still leaves a me a bit confused: should I use the low end or coarser setting. I'd like to understand more about it (I did buy a book to go down that rabbit hole:-). Alos, after reading the FAQ I did buy the mentioned metal basket to replace the paper filters. That was a great advice = great support!! I use the metal basket to grind into it and shake it flat (alike espresso WDT), something I can't do with the paper filter. in conclusion, my life was simple before the Aiden, now I want to try every different settings, grind size and beans type :-) One final comment, I was a bit concerned about the build. Not anymore, I like metals and I do wonder how much more money that would have been (??), but Fellow did a great job with it and now with all the other colors, pretty cool.

Incredible coffee in minutes with great design

We got the Aiden after years of Fellow pour over being the only way to have great coffee and with the machine it's so much faster and tastes great. I love the guided brew process, all of the options for single cup, cold brew, etc and the design is perfect for my kitchen. We couldn't be happier.
