Doesn't keep coffee warm very long

Very fancy machine, but disappointed it doesn't have a warming coil to keep the coffee warm. The pot isn't insulated well enough to keep the coffee warm for longer than 45 mins or maybe an hour. I think I'll switch over to making individual cups of coffee instead but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a 10-cup maker. So if you're the kind of person who likes to make a big pot of coffee and enjoy it over the course of a morning, this is prob not the right coffee maker for you! Also the app doesn't work at all lmao

Intuitive Maker, Delicious Coffee

Aiden coffee maker is intuitive, easy to use and brews delicious coffee each time. As a time-starved parent / professional, I found it difficult to believe that I could break away from my single serve coffee maker. With a little bit of prep the night before, brewing rich, delicious coffee with Aiden has been enjoyable.

Tremendous Brew -- Easy to Use!

Happy with this purchase -- same quality you expect from other Fellow products. Very thoughtful and does what it says it does. I must say the extraction levels will knock your socks off if you're used to using mr coffee or ninja. Ease into it! Haven't tried the app, but don't really need it. Only product improvement feedback would be to make it bigger, as the 10 "cups" for a full carafe are based on 5 oz portions, so it's really only 4-5 mugs. A 12 cup/60oz version would be more suitable for large groups and make it comparable to regular coffee makers.

Jury still out on this product

Originally purchased/received in September. Filed a warranty claim in December because the Coffee maker would not brew kept an error of “add water”. So thankfully, I filled out the warranty, so we'll see if the replacement machine has any issues. Also wish the coffee stayed a little bit hotter than it does I think due to the hole where the coffee drips into on the top of carafe.

Love my Aiden

Makes wonderful coffee, always the same! Cold brew is wonderful function. Even without the hot plate the coffee stays hot for a good amount of time. Nice to come out of the shower in the morning and have my kitchen smell great and have my coffee be ready!

I replaced my Moccamaster with

I replaced my Moccamaster with the Fellow Aiden, and my opinion is mixed. The good: the Aiden makes excellent coffee. If your goal is to dial in flavor and experiment with brew parameters, this machine is outstanding. The level of control is impressive, and once configured properly it produces some of the best coffee I've had from an automatic brewer. For single-cup brewing and recipe customization, it's a fantastic product. I even quickly bought the Opus 2 grinder because I was so impressed with the quality of my morning cup. Unfortunately, batch brewing has been a complete failure for me. I've tried the recommended filters, alternative filters, coarser grind settings, different doses, and multiple brewing configurations. No matter what I do, coffee grounds ride up the sides of the filter and end up in the finished coffee. The basket appears to require a taller filter than the options currently recommended. After extensive testing, I still cannot use batch mode reliably. This is especially frustrating because batch brewing is one of the machine's core features. I didn't buy a premium coffee maker expecting to spend weeks troubleshooting basic functionality. The carafe is also disappointing. Coming from a Moccamaster thermal carafe, I expected much better heat retention. Coffee cools down faster than I would like, making batch brewing even less appealing. I even heat the carafe with hot water in advance in order to keep my coffee from getting a chill. This isn't a deal breaker though, I can live with the sub-par carafe if I could make a batch and transfer it into a third-party thermal carafe when needed. But I can't make a batch. The result is a coffee maker that performs brilliantly in some areas but dramatically falls short in others. If you primarily brew single cups and enjoy tweaking recipes, the Aiden is excellent. If batch brewing is important to you, I'd be cautious until Fellow addresses the basket and filter design issues. If I can't find a filter that works soon, I won't be keeping the Aiden, as good as it is for single cup (1-3) brews.

Like having a professional barista at home.

Hands down the best automatic brewing device I have purchased. I have worked in specialty cafes for years, and this lil' countertop brewer keeps up with (and usually outperforms) most commercial batch brewers. I am able to consistently brew pourover-style cups while eliminating some of the annoying variables that come with brewing manually. I give it a 5/5, although I wish it was made with a bit more metal in some places rather than plastic. Would love some metal brew basket options as well for less plastic exposure.

Good Single Cup/Small Batch Brewer

I'll start off by saying in terms of a single-cup automatic brewer, this is the best I've ever used. The guided brew function makes it easy to ensure you're using the right amount of coffee for optimal output. That said, when it comes to larger batch brewing, that's where I've encountered problems. The amount of ground coffee per the guided brew function for larger batches can exceed the capacity of the basket, causing grounds to overflow the filter and make contact with the shower head. I'm using a Fellow Opus to grind at recommended settings for drip, but it would be nice if I could specify that in the configuration to have grind settings included in the guided brewing process. With so much plastic, I was concerned about build quality, but everything seems solid and built to acceptable tolerances. The carafe does a good job of holding the coffee at a good temperature without the use of a heating element that can cause undesirable effects on the brewed coffee. Overall, I am happy with my purchase, but I think there's definitely room for improvement in a second generation model.

Carafe doesn't keep coffee hot (or warm). Waiting for a redesign and replacement, Fellow(s).

Is it beautiful and elegantly designed and conceived? Check! Does it brew tasty coffee will all kinds of personalization options? Check! Do I feel really cool and actualized for owning one? Check! But for the price, there is one meaningful design flaw. Unless of course there is a “rationalized” explanation from the coffee aficionados. The pot/carafe does not adequately keep the coffee warm or hot after brewed. There is plenty of technology out there (see Yeti) to model after in the carafe construction to retain adequate heat. Several of us coffee drinkers like to go back to the well for another cup later on. Problem is: the coffee is cold, tepid at best. I'll be waiting for Fellow to hear more about this opportunity from others and wait for them to send me a free replacement carafe in their next iteration of developing a really lovely and promising coffee maker.

Slightly more hands off than French press

Been doing French press for all my days but was told I should graduate to this. First cup was not that great but you have to learn the machine. It is totally decent. If you made good coffee and treated your process with care before via press or pour over, this isn't going to make better coffee. But, it's slightly more hands off than the old way. So, that can be good if you're busy in the morning.
