Lots of bells and whistles, but I'm not sure that this product will age well - so much plastic. Hot water + plastic = micro plastics in the blood. Also, it would be nice if there were brew guides for the 3 coffees included with the Aiden. Have used it only twice, so still learning. We will see how it holds up in six months.

I love the look and the functionality of Aiden. The are that I am least satisfied is the temperature of the coffee. While the coffee brews at a great temperature, the pot doesn't keep it hot long and there is no hot plate to maintain the temperature. While this may put the quality of the coffee at jeopardy, I would like to make one pot and not have to brink it in an hour to maintain a temperature.

I purchased this for my wife's birthday and overall were happy with the quality of the product. The ability to brew a large pot is incredibly useful when we have guests over. We are eagerly awaiting more of the customization features to modify the brew cycle for our tastes (we tend to prefer stronger brews and aren't able to modify the amount of ground beans either with the ratio or manually) I haven't tried this for cold brew yet but look forward to giving that a shot. All in all we're hoping this product will stay on our kitchen counter.

I made about 6 brews before the machine got a little confused and stopped working well? Sometimes some brews continue the countdown without finishing the full brew, leaving me in a weird state of half brewed coffee. Otherwise, when it works, the coffee is delicious and the concept is great!!

I got it at launch and it definitely makes a good cup of coffee. If I'm willing to program in the brew profiles I want, I can fine-tune to make a great cup. That said, there could be some improvements. 1. Us pour-over snobs are accustomed to brewing using grams of coffee as our base measurement. I would love to see an update where the Aiden asks me how many grams I'm brewing and then tells me how much coffee that'll make based on my profile, rather than ask me how many ounces I want and then tell me how many grams I need. I don't know how many ounces I want. I make 24 grams one day, 20 another, and 30 another. Just let me start with that. 2. The clearance isn't high enough for many types of taller, thermally insulated containers. If it had maybe an additional 1/2 inch of clearance it would fit every use case I've had so far. 3. Allow me to "back" out easier. It's hard to back out of a menu and sometimes I've inadvertently started a brew I'm unprepared for when I was just trying to back out. 4. Some filters are unbleached and need a hot water quick-soak to flush away impurities or a possible "paper taste." It would be great to add this as a function of brewing a cup with a "continue" button once we're ready. Aiden has a lot of promise and is a good brewer that would be great with the improvements mentioned.

We were very excited to receive our Aiden after preordering in May. Sadly, after receiving it, we were disappointed several aspects. First, and foremost, is the flavor of the pour over on a timed schedule. The flavor just isn't the same. This is mostly due to grinding the beans the night before and losing that “just ground” taste. Second, the measurement for dispensing the coffee is in cups. I like a 300 ml pour, my wife prefers a 250. The Aiden uses 5 oz cup measurement. This required a little more work on our part. Finally, it comes down to the software and usability of the interface and app. Both need work. They are over simplified which actually meant it taking even more work to get it to do what it was advertised to do.

I ordered my Aiden in April and was so excited to finally receive it! It does not disappoint. It is so easy to use and I love the different options you can select for brewing. I was a little apprehensive with all the instructions. It brews a wonderful cup of coffee. I am also impressed how warm the coffee stays in the carafe. The ONLY reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I have only used it once as of this writing. I think it's probably a 5 star product. I'd also like to say, I love that it takes up less room on my countertop and looks a lot more awesome than my old one.

I like a lot of the functionality of the fellow Aiden the customization and the quality of the cup, however one issue is when setting a scheduled brew for the Carter move cup, it can't detect if it's there so wasted coffee and a big mess, I get this is a me issue, however when people are tired the cup can be missed by placing it in or it is being used. Just a callout.

So far, I'm impressed with the coffee that is produced by Aiden. I already had a bag of beans from Valor (my favorite local roaster in Alpharetta, GA) open when I received Aiden. It was the “Guatemala Finca Las Moritas” and was delicious using Aiden. This morning I opened the Onyx “Yabitu Koba” that shipped with my machine and brewed it using the pre-installed profile. Very easy and a delicious result. I look forward to trying the cold brew feature, but have not done that yet. I need to figure out the recommended grind size for Aiden's cold brew since other brew profiles tend to recommended a coarser than expected grind size. Despite the great results, I do have three things I'd like to point out. First, it would be nice to have more granular settings for amounts and temperatures. I like using Fahrenheit for my temperature, but use grams and milliliters for my beans and water. I have my setting on imperial and I know I can see the metric amounts in tiny font on the screen, but I wanted to share these thoughts. Secondly, there is a bit of a lag when you press the wheel to select a menu item. Not a huge deal, but I'm constantly wondering if I really pressed the button or if it's just the lag in response. I find myself having to click “back” a lot as a result. Thirdly, I'm quite disappointed that the app is not ready. I anticipate that it will be easier to enter information using the app. I look forward to trying more coffees and hope that more roasters start providing brew profile information (Valor this is for you if you happen to see this). I know Fellow Drops will probably have this for most coffees, but I prefer supporting my local roaster.

Makes ok coffee - nothing special. It's overly complicated, and requires more clean up than a manual pour over. Ultimately wasn't worth it for me and I returned it and bought an xBloom Studio which makes much better coffee, is far less effort and cleanup is much faster.
