It makes a really fun and cozy nook during the day. I will sometimes drape a blanket over it and they will crawl in there to play or “read”. I love that it sits on the floor. I don't have to worry about my 18 month old rolling out or trying to get up and down on his own. It also comes with parts to use it as just a bed and have the top part stand on its own to be used as a play house. Which I think would be fun as he gets older. It did come slightly damaged. The material it's made out of doesn't take dings very well. However the non-toxic coating doesn't rub off and is easy to wipe down. The instructions that come with it are very detailed and made for a very quick and easy assembly. I had it all put together in less than 20 minutes which is a huge plus for busy moms like me. I was worried it would take up too much space as we still share our room with our toddler, but it fit perfectly in our room! Overall this is a great bed for littles and such a fun design.

On the assembly: It was a bit confusing, even for me, and I am fairly good at assembling things. I had to take some of it apart and redo it because I got it wrong the first time. It took me about an hour to get it all put together. And just make sure you don't lose any bolts or pegs or anything, because there aren't any spare parts. I would say overall the assembly wasn't too bad, and everything is very well labeled. On the bed: I do really like this bed, but more importantly, my children have been having a blast with it. I have 5 (almost 6) children ages 9 and under, so most of them fit in the bed and have been taking turns sleeping in it. They have so much fun covering it in blankets to make it into a tent, and I even found a garland decking it out one day. It seems to be fairly well made. I had children climbing on it and it held up to that. It's been getting lots of playtime by day and sleep time by night. :) I do really like the fact that it's non toxic. I don't think I'm the only one who's children put their mouths on everything, so it's good to know it's safe. This bed is also very cute, and doesn't take up too much space. My little one is freshly 2 years old and was starting to attempt to climb out of her crib. I was looking for a solution, and this absolutely fit the bill. Transitioning a toddler to a bed that provides free range access to their room is always scary for me. But this made the switch so much easier because, 1) it's on the floor — I know she's not going to fall out and hurt herself, and 2) it's adorable and she loves the look! She says it's “my house,” and she likes to sit in it and “read” or relax. We are still giving her the option of either bed right now, and she's choosing this one almost always. It's going to be a great little permanent fort/tent structure when she's outgrown it, too. I'm always looking for easy ways to make my house a little “greener/cleaner,” so I appreciate that this bed has a non-toxic coating. The materials seem like decent quality that I expect to hold up well. It's a sturdy build and it feels safe to me. If you're used to putting together flat-pack furniture, this is an extremely simple build. The instructions could be a bit more detailed, especially for a novice. But it only took me about an hour, I did it alone (with the “help” of my toddler), and it requires zero tools outside of the hex key that is provided. Just pay attention to what you'll be connecting next, so that you know which direction to face the pieces. Even if you mess it up, it's super simple to remove a piece and face it correctly. If you're looking for an on-the-floor toddler bed that is cute and feels like a novelty to your child, this is a great option.
