It has quickly become one of our favorite pieces in our son's room. First off, the design is adorable! The A frame house-style is playful without feeling busy, and it looks so sweet styled in our kiddo's space. The quality immediately stood out to me once assembled; the bed feels sturdy, well-made, and thoughtfully designed for toddlers. I also really appreciate the non-toxic finish, which gives me peace of mind knowing it's something my child uses every day. However, what really makes this bed a standout for us is the low, floor-bed design. We've mainly used it for naps so far, and it's led to noticeably deeper, more comfortable sleep. Because it sits so close to the ground, I can easily lay next to my son's bed on the floor to help him settle, no lifting and no awkward leaning. That alone has been a huge win for our routine. Beyond sleep, this bed has become a daytime hangout spot. My son loves sitting in it to read books, play, or just relax, and I love how much freedom and independence it gives him while still feeling safe and age-appropriate. Assembly was manageable for someone comfortable putting furniture together, though the instructions could be clearer in a few spots. I also had one screw hole that was slightly misdrilled, which caused the bolt not to align properly, and I do wish the bed included hardware covers so bolts weren't exposed. These are minor critiques and ultimately didn't prevent successful assembly or affect the stability of the bed once finished. Overall, this toddler bed has been a beautiful and functional addition to our home. It's been a wonderful transition piece, supports independent sleep in a gentle way, and fits seamlessly into both our routine and our space. The frame itself was very easy to put together and the instructions were fairly clear to follow along. The parts of the frame are made of wood and arrived in good condition, I didn't notice any chips or damage to the parts. I like that it's a Montessori style toddler bed so they can get in and out by themselves and that the upper half of the frame can detach to create a little play area for them, I've kept it together as of now though. So far it's held up great even with my toddler trying to climb the side of the frames, it doesn't seem unstable as a standalone.

I was skeptical at first because it doesn't have a bed guard/rail like most toddler beds do but luckily my daughter is not much of a roller. Assembly was simple and clear enough as I was able to complete it by myself in 1.5 hours; no extra tools needed! I appreciate that it uses a crib mattress so we didn't have to purchase a new one after my toddler transitioned from her crib. My favorite feature was seeing that the bed has different formations to fit my little one's needs. I plan to pass this down to my baby boy on the way once they are old enough so it's nice to see it has an option without the arch at the top to make it into a traditional toddler bed. It's also great that the arch can then be used as a playground as I'm sure two toddlers will have a blast doing pretend play in!! So don't worry about having to stow away the arch with no purpose. The quality of the bed feels very sturdy as a previous bed we owned always made creaking sounds so it's nice to have what feels like a high-end quality bed. We really appreciate the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing us with this toddler bed. There were a couple of things that caught our attention that other parents may want to look out for. As I mentioned earlier, I would recommend getting something like the tubes you can put under the sheets if your little one has a tendency to roll to the edges. The one issue we have with the bed is that there are no slats where the mattress would lay, so the mattress sits on the floor completely. We're worried this could become an issue down the road as it's known that mattresses laying directly on the floor have a tendency to produce mold since there is no airflow between the floor and the mattress.. so we will need to keep an eye on this.. that's honestly my only reason for knocking it down a star, but otherwise we love the bed as our daughter sleeps well in it and we parents know figuring out sleep in toddlers is a mission haha!

My kids thought it looked like a fun fort. It is easy to drape a sheet or netting over the top for the kids to use their imagination during pretend play. This toddler bed arrived in a compact box, with all of the pieces, hardware, and instructions neatly packed inside. The assembly process was straightforward, simply following the directions. It took just over an hour, and it was not hard. I just needed to make sure to follow the directions to that I did not install a piece backwards, as the pieces had pre-drilled holes for the screws, which is helpful! I'm glad the materials felt like high-quality and sturdy pieces, and felt confident in using this for my toddler with the non-toxic coating. It seemed to have a slight odor from the box, but the brand confirms it is a non-toxic coat, and it was temporary. The only other aspect to mention is that since it rests directly on the floor, I will need to lift up the mattress at least weekly to make sure there is airflow underneath it. Our favorite feature is that it is a floor bed, making it safe for little toddlers and kids. That also helps because there is no creaking, as it rests on the floor. We landed on Montessori-style beds that would encourage independence and freedom of movement. We prefer beds that are low to the ground in general, both for safety and for her to be able to enter and leave independently. The design is simple but really fosters creativity and imagination. She can easily get in and out and the size is perfect for toddlers to lay comfortably without being overly large or bulky. It's also not heavy to move around if we need to, and was very easy to assemble. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. If the trellis is not wanted, it can be easily removed to only leave the bed frame itself. We do love having it on the bed though, and draping a sheet over for her to play in. Overall, we love it and our toddler does too. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants a bed that's good for play and developing imaginations as well. My daughter is about to transition into a toddler bed and we have been really excited about putting the Little Seeds Trellis Toddler Bed. It took under an hour to assemble myself. Admittedly I was a little concerned as I was taking materials out of the box. It said non-toxic coating, however there was definitely a chemical odor that disappeared quickly, but still a little bit of a flag for me. The assembly was easy for one person. The materials are very light weight. some of the paint was chipped on a few and a white poweder residue was on the floor after i finished. I took a star away for this - quality of materials felt questionable. This is a montessori style bed, so the mattress goes right on the ground. My toddler LOVED the fact that it was low to the ground and she could effortlessly get up and down. She was giggling as she walked around the bed, reaching for the top - we have ordered some scarves to hang on it for some sensory fun. It is very whimsical, which we love. I did discover that my daughter is not quite ready for the move to a toddler bed - she has been far too excited and is using it as a playhouse now, which is really adorable. She enjoys putting her stuffed animals to bed in there. Overall, very cute and fun. Wish the materials felt like they were a little better quality and the smell hadn't been so strong. As a place to play, it's an absolute hit.

Pros: putting this together was so simple, less than an hour altogether and no additional tools which is a HUGE benefit in my book. The design is absolutely precious and would be a dream with some fairy lights. Very simple to follow instructions with durable materials. Cons: the smell of the materials is concerning. Upon opening the box there was a very strong smell similar to spray paint. Nothing about the box or items is has spray paint on it so this concerned me as the coating is marketed as non-toxic. The scent was so strong I had to open a window and move the bed from my child's room, and the room it is in now also has the strong odor and I can not get it to dissipate. It has been multiple days since putting together. I've had furniture in the past that has a scent upon unboxing but never for this long. I cannot in good conscience use this product for my child while the scent is so strong. I'm really hopeful it will calm down and we can use the bed soon! In all fairness it could potentially be a shipping issue but I notice the scent on the pieces more than the box it came in. Considering the style, durability and ease of assembling this would be a product I would recommend if the scent issue was looked into. Also please read ALL of the instructions. You will be left with a few pieces after putting it together which is for the floor bed and playground conversion, which is another feature I highly appreciate as most beds conversion kits are a separate purchase! All in all, I am doing my best to reduce the scent and really look forward to using this fun bed for my little one so long as we can do it safely.
