This is my 3rd Dyson product. I love it the suction is great and the light helps detect the finest of pet hairs that I probably wouldn't have seen without it. The battery life is great I have a 2000 square foot house and am able to vacuum the entire house on one charge

Works well , it does what it does very well! but with a couple exceptions that really bother me. First it comes with one battery! Two would make it always ready to work. Second it needs a trigger lock so you don't have to hold the trigger the whole time. A bonus consideration would be some kind of a 90° tool to clean ceiling fans.

I thought I picked out the one I wanted but I didn't. This model still requires you to hold the switch on while vacuuming. Also you have to take the stick part off to empty the cup. This is a pain for me. Not as happy as I was with my other one. But, I do like the light when vacuuming. Also the suction is terrific! The down side is you have to change the head part to vacuum scatter rugs. Very annoying.

We've had our V15 for a month and are very pleased with the performance. Suction is very strong and the Detect bare floor tool is impressive --both in showing you where there's dirt on the floor (ick) and removing it. The dust bin empties easily and can be removed to get rid of any residual dirt and dust. We appreciate the low profile of the floor tools, as they fit easily under furniture, leaving no safe haven for dust bunnies. Battery life is sufficient to do a thorough cleaning of all floors in a 2,100 sq ft home, but you'll need to recharge if you also want to dust. We also appreciate the digital display for battery life; it's a vast improvement on old bar-style battery life indicators. We purchased the low reach adapter and recommend this accessory as it makes it super easy to get under furniture without kneeling and other contortions. One small gripe on the topic of accessories: it's a mystery why Dyson does not include the soft dusting brush attachment in the set of tools included for this vacuum. It's an essential tool and for the premium price that Dyson commands, we really feel that should be included. All-in-all, we give a very strong recommendation for this vacuum!

As the man of the house sweeping the floors has always been my job. I've never skimped on quality when purchasing a sweeper or any other tool. I've owned the best of the rest at one time or the other. The Dyson v15 detect is amazing. It makes sweeping the floors, rugs, and carpets a breeze. Not only does it sweep better but gets the job done in half the time. I have two large dogs and they shed a lot. The detect laser feature makes an easy job of the hardwood and tile. The main sweeper head is also fantastic. No going over and over the rugs and carpet, it gets it done in one pass saving time and effort. I could go on but again this is the best sweeper I've owned and highly recommend. Worth every penny spent.

Pay attention to the reviews. The unit is heavy and the run button that doesn't stay turn on makes it a bit of a pain to operate. If you do not have good upper body strength do not get this unit. It cleans get and I was surprised by the amount of dirt it got out of my carpet. Overall it is a good machine.

I am really enjoying my new Dyson. I was using a 35 year old vacuum on my rugs and just a broom and swiffer on my wood floors and my Dyson does it all much, much more effectively and efficiently. So far, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the Dyson.

After one month of use, I am very impressed with the Total Clean Extra. It is powerful and very easy to maneuver. The only thing the manufacturer should improve is the charging speed, as it takes a significant amount of time to get back to 100%. If you have a large home, you might want a spare battery, but the vacuuming quality is top-notch

We've only had our Dyson V15 for a week, but so far -- we love it! Great suction, lightweight, quiet. That green light will, hopefully, make me feel better about our cleaning. Right now it's pointing out so much dirt, I'm a bit horrified with what we've thought was clean! The old vacuum definitely needed replacing! I have one suggestion, however. I'd like a trigger guard of some kind that I can flip into place when needed, such as when I'm carrying the vacuum up stairs. I keep grasping the handle and accidentally activating the trigger. But like I said, we're loving this vacuum!

Although I've only owned my Dyson V15 Detect Total Clean Extra about two weeks, I love it already! Yesterday my husband broke an empty glass when he dropped it on the ceramic floor in our kitchen. The glass shards flew everywhere. I pulled out the stick vac and sucked up all the tiny pieces with the green light attachment. The pieces literally glowed green and it was easy to see every single one. Although I worried that it may be a bit heavy to use I am now converted! It works great in my car too.
