I really think this runs packed in olive oil is much a good product, it tastes amazing. The olive oil in it makes it so easy to prepare a simple tuna salad. I like an open face tuna salad (celery, pickles, Dijon, s&p) with cheddar melted over it, or just tuna salad with cracker! This was so yummy. I think the price of this tuna makes sense for the quality. It felt fancy, but also a super reasonable price to make a delish lunch. Overall, loved the packaging, the product, the taste. This Rio Mare Solid Light Wild Tuna in Olive Oil won me over and I wanted seconds! We made tuna salad sandwiches with it and they were delicious. The olive oil was minimal enough that we didn't need to drain the can before using it in our recipe, which adds to the convenience. I credit the tuna marinating in olive oil with eliminating the ‘fishy' taste that tuna typically has. The quality of this tuna is worth the price! If you're someone who doesn't normally like tuna from a can, I would highly recommend you try this one and it just might change your mind! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i wish i could eat this every day but you have to limit yellowfin consumption due to mercury levels. that being said, if you are going to eat yellowfin tuna then this is the brand to buy. it's splurge worthy and tastes really delicious. you can do so many things with it or just eat it plain. either way you can't lose.

The taste and texture of this canned tuna is much higher quality than the most common brands of tuna found at the grocery store. I added this tuna to a pasta and caper dish, and it turned out wonderful. The chunks of tuna lended themselves to the recipe beautifully, I wasn't left disappointed by a can full of shreds. While this can is pricier than a typical can of tuna the quality and taste are elevated too.

It exceeded my expectations for a canned tuna product that was comparable in price to other canned brands! The directions advised to avoid draining the oil and enjoy as is. I typically enjoy my tuna with olive oil anyway so I was perfectly fine with emptying the entire can into a bowl and mixing up with some salt and pepper. I added some roasted red peppers and fresh cucumbers for a light snack. The texture of the tuna was still a bit dry for my liking so I added a bit more olive oil and lemon juice. After mixing up the chunks a bit more, the texture improved. I think next time I will let it sit and “marinate” a bit longer in the olive oil and lemon juice. What stood out the most was the light flavor and fresh taste. There was no metallic taste that some brands carry. Overall, I was impressed and will definitely purchase over other brands!
