[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rio Mare tuna was a phenomenal flavor and texture from the oil. It wasn't mushy and remained to have a firmer texture than most canned tunas. I loved that it had a fresher flavor and it wasn't reminiscent of cat food. The oil gave it a tiny bit of a saltier flavor which added to the taste as well. Overall I'd definitely select this brand again moving forward over the competition! Thumbs up for stellar product testing for my new go to tuna salad tuna go to brand!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife came to me and said “Hey would you be willing to try this new Tuna we got” I kind of chuckled. I've been a regular Tuna eater since probably the third grade and while I notice differences.. tuna is tuna. But Rio Mare is a game changer. It was well packaged, eye catching and somewhat nostalgic looking. I was intrigued. When I opened it I was expecting the stereotypical watery tuna can and prepping myself mentally for that moment when I get that little bit of tuna juice on my finger that leaves an annoying smell for the remainder of the day. But to my surprise, that wasn't the case. It was moist but not over saturated. It had the consistency of salmon and a perfectly salted flavor with no funny aftertaste. I have since requested that she buy more so that I can explore other ways to enjoy it. But right out of the can was a satisfying, quick, and healthy snack. The texture is moist, not dry, tender, and not overly oily. The tuna is fantastic eaten alone! But it would also be delicious in salads, or casseroles. Overall, extremely pleased with this tuna. I love that it is packed in healthy olive oil, which gives it so much more flavor than tuna in water. I tried the tuna, cold and hot in a casserole, and both were delicious_x000D_

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to snag the box of 3 cans. Upon getting home, I opened one of them and had it with my lunch. It's very high quality and tastes great. And there really isn't a huge amount of oil-laden liquid to discard. I like the portion size for lunch. The issues I do have with this product are that 1) the tuna is "solid white", which means it's probably Albacore, which is a larger species and might tend to aggregate a little more mercury than smaller species (chunk light == skipjack, etc.); and 2) Rio Mare does NOT say that the tuna are sustainably caught (e.g., line caught) -- which means it's probably seined, which tends to do a lot more damage to the ecosystem with bycatch

No more store brand tuna for me. U normally buy the water packed tuna too but the olive oil really makes me feel that this product in more in line with a Mediterranean diet. It definitely adds flavor. I have been revisiting tuna sandwiches with red onion like my grandma used to make. Yum

Rio Mare tuna has a fantastic flavor and consistency. The meat is firm yet juicy, and even though canned, it tastes fresh. I consumed it as a tuna salad and also just as is. I prefer it with nothing added. The cans are small and just enough for one person though so not the best value for the 3 pack. . But definitely going to purchase again.
