It was not salty but still had a good amount of flavor. I do wish it was in extra virgin olive oil instead of olive oil.

You can really tell the difference between those tuna and something in a cheaper price bracket. Stellar Product Testing Panel just added a new staple to my grocery list. The price seems steep for this, but it is very comparable for the quality. I didn’t realize how much more I enjoy tuna and olive oil as opposed to soaking in water.

I thought it was a good tasting tuna in a good amount of olive oil- neither too dry nor overwhelmed by oil. I made a tuna salad that was enjoyed by my 4 year old and spouse, everyone liked it! The texture (nicely flakey) held up well to being mixed with other ingredients, and leftovers stayed firm and not too pungent. When I find this brand in the store I will purchase again.

I’m not much of a cook and I prefer simple meals, but I was surprised that the texture didn’t really cream up very well with the other ingredients. The flavor was also much stronger than I had expected. I think it would’ve been better in a tuna salad. Overall, it was a good tuna melt, I just think this particular tuna was a little drier than I was expecting. I think the price for this product is little high as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could tell you that I made something with this tuna, ya know like tuna pasta salad orrr a tuna melt or even tuna cakes, cuz it probably would’ve been delicious! However, I mixed it up in the can, didn’t drain it, added some hot chili sauce, and ate it just like that, right outta the can. It wasn’t mushy or dry, it was pleasantly salted, firm but not tough, and the olive oil made it nicely dressed without the addition of mayo or mustard necessary. Definitely has a more luxurious taste than run-of-the-mill water-based canned tuna which can taste diluted and bland. I put it on saltine crackers as an afternoon snack for me and my toddler but honestly, it would have been just as enjoyable straight from the can. The flavor was so delicious and not fishy at all. The olive oil helps keep the fish from drying out so it has a pleasantly rich texture. I used this tuna to make Kimchi Tuna Salad. I've made this recipe several times with other tuna but this turned out the best. This tuna doesn't have a fishy flavor so the flavor of the other ingredients can really come forward. I will be looking for this tuna at my grocery store. I think the quality of the tuna is well worth the price. As a pescatarian I eat tuna several times as week as my source of protein. This tuna makes any recipe rich, hearty and delicious. It takes your meal to the next level. I have been craving it ever since I tried it!

I received this tuna from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am now only going to buy this brand. I used it for a simple tunafish sandwich and the texture and taste were amazing. It tastes fresh, not oily or greasy. Texture is flaky and not mushy. The price is high compared to other tuna but once you try it, you'll understand why.

I like that it’s made with only a few simple ingredients- just tuna oil and salt. The tuna is tender and it has great taste and texture, making it an easy upgrade to quick lunches or salads. Thanks to Stellar Panel for sending it to me to review- I enjoyed having it on sourdough with some cracked pepper, and then again tossed into a salad with capers and tomatoes. I’ve had lots of fancy Spanish and Portuguese tunas and this measures up against those just fine.
