I had this shipped to my daughter in grad school. She absolutely loves it and says the brewed coffee is delicious. She has not had opportunity to use the pods feature yet. I sought a high quality coffee maker, but one not so expensive that at the end of grad school it wouldn’t be too precious to “gift” to an incoming student—we live 3000 miles away.

This is one of the best values in coffee makers. The carafe brewing is quick and convenient and allows you to automatically start at your desired time, so coffee is ready when you are. The single cup maker accommodates both K-cups and a custom holder into which you can put your favorite grind. The design and quality of materials is impressive and the versatility is matchless. I highly recommend this coffee maker.

This is the third Hamilton FlexBrew I've owned. The first one lasted just over five years with daily use. I ended up getting rid of it because the pod side would randomly stop brewing; possibly because I rarely cleaned it... I still have one of the others in the guest space and it works great! I recently purchased another brand because it offered a built-in frother; which my daughter really liked. We had issues with that machine after less than a month of use. Needless to say, it was returned. I immediately purchased another Hamilton Beach. The FlexBrew is reliable, easy to use, and a great value for the money. I would definitely recommend this coffee machine.

My husband was insistent on a pot of coffee. I miss the kuerig. I bought this as a compromise to our dilemma. Actually bought two more for work break rooms. I wish I would have used ours first before the purchase. The single serve side is a mess and often puts grounds in your cup when it does “work”. The only feature that works well is the pot preprogrammed. Single serve is good for hot water by the cup. Still slower than my kuerig. Don’t recommend it’s purchase.

This was a Christmas present for my husband. I got tired of him complaining about the Kerig we have. It did not make a strong enough pot of coffee with the carafe setting and using the carafe pod was a pain. Now I can use this new one for both at the same time.

Since Purchasing this coffeemaker, I have saved money. Mostly because nothing gets wasted. You can adjust according to your day.. In a addition it can brew all sorts for things like tea, hot chocolate, and so on. you can use K-cups or used your own for a single cup or a pot. All and all I'm glad I have purchased this product.

Used this for about a month. The programming is reliable. The digital commands are easy to use. I've tried two different sized paper filters and am not happy with their fit at all. I'll search for an alternative. I just wish there were a removable fine screen filter. If the paper filter doesn't nest in it perfectly then you run the risk of having a mess on your hands. The water tank is a bit difficult to pour into if you have to place your coffee maker under an overhung cabinet. It is in the back of the unit and if under an overhung cabinet it is difficult to open the top lid completely. The single serving feature is very convenient. Oh yes - one more thing - even if I preheat my mug, the coffee doesn't come out as hot as other machines offer. I gave it 4 stars because it does offer the single serve feature and my observations may very well have been nit-picking! I'm still looking for the perfect coffee maker!

We have been using this brand/style for several years. Holds up fairly well. The only complaint I have is the “warming plate” gets worn out before anything else or I would give 5 stars. That being said I don’t want to use any other coffee maker. Love option to brew a pot or a cup!!

We bought this unit to be able to have a single serve (kcup style) cup of coffee without having 2 machines. Both brewing sides work great, but the hidden bonus was that the full size pot is the best pour ever! No more drip disasters when pouring a cup of coffe.

Pleasantly surprised at how much money I have saved using the flex brew basket to make my own pods vs. the K type pods! And when I have company, the convenience of the larger pot is great. The only downside for my is occasional leaking underneath, not quite sure why, doesn’t seem to affect the brew cycle.
