When attempting to make a single cup of coffee using a coffee pod, it is a real struggle to close the lid to start brewing. Sometimes it will close, but more often than not, it won't. I just give up and make a cup of tea using my teakettle. I tried calling the 800 number for assistance, but it is only a recording. Very disappointed.

We used this coffee maker on a semi-regular basis over six months. Now, it won't ever turn on. First, it would only brew half a cup and then stop. Then, it wouldn't brew at all. Now, the screen is completely blank and doesn't show anything even after unpluging and plugging it back in several times.

Got this as a bridal shower gift less than 3 years ago, and it stopped heating the water to make coffee. It just went from brewing for about 30 seconds to boom keep warm. Not even 3 years old, what? Unreal... that is ridiculous for a coffee pot to stop working in less than 3 years of being purchased. Won't purchase this purchase this product again...

We bought this so we would have choice of using k-cups or brewing full pot. The k-cup reservoir is only one cup at a time so you have to wait for it to heat each time, which seems to take forever and then it put grounds in the coffee. when reading instructions, it says to buy different brand of k-cups. made huge mess. We are returning.

I've bought this model twice and each time I have the same complaint. The warming plate loses whatever coating it has and starts rusting. The prudent engineering would be to use stainless on this plate. If you're worried about cost raise the price. I would think this simplifies your production process, because you're finishing process would be eliminated.

I bought this coffee make last year in November. About 1 week ago, I noticed water all over my counter top. I noticed when I made coffee that water was coming out from the bottom of it. I took it back to Sam's Club yesterday and got my money back. It was working great until this happened.

I'm happy with the product. My favorite feature is the programmable timer brew, I get up at 6:15am everday and when my alarm goes off and I dont feel like getting out of bed, once I hit snooze and start to smell in the air my coffee brewing, I just want to get up! Grab my coffee and go!

I own a flexbrew for office with single serve feature only and it works great. I bought this unit for my home because it offers carafe for weekends or entertaining--a great idea! However, design of single serve feature was changed and does not work. No matter the brand of kcup, the coffee ends up full of grounds. After contacting Hamilton Beach, they sent me a replacement kcup holder. This was exactly the same part I already had, so no change in performance. I can't recommend this machine. Purchase either a drip coffeemaker or a single serve coffeemaker but the combo does not work.

As several other reviewers have mentioned the k-cup side of this coffee maker is very poorly designed. Every single cup that this made had grounds in it and after about 1 yr of use the pump clogged and would no longer dispense anything. I figured a little vinegar cleaning cycle might help but that lasted about 1 use before it was clogged again. It would eventually start working if I hit the brew button a few times and then gave it 20 minutes and hit the brew button again sort of like it was frozen or something. Best day ever was when I threw this thing in the trash after replacing it with a keurig.

recd this as a gift almost a year ago.,, works perfect , seen other reviews about having a problem with k pods exploding in the single cup side . Need to say I had this when I firrst used this side and started then to press pod down on the needle that it sets on and this has never happened since as I always press it down before shutting the top,,, try it , it always works right for me
