Trash. Do not waste your money. This unit lasted about 7 months. First, the single brew side would and would not function. I cleaned the unit with vinegar and cleaned the screen. This went on for about 2 months (the unit was 5 months old). The single side would work for several days and stop. The caraffe side failed not long after the single serve side. Waste of money.

I love the machine BUT the glass carafe is so brittle that all you have to do is bump it lightly and it breaks. Since the carafe cost is almost 1/4 of the total cost I don’t recommend buying. The manufacturer either by design or just a scam so you have to a replacement carafe at an exorbitant cost.

Just got my coffee pot. I think it's slow. Especially on the single serve k cup side. I don't like the idea of having to fill before each cup. You sit and wait for it to get hot then brew. I use a large cup so filling it 1 1/2 times. Trying to get used to that or send it back. Styling is good, looks nice sitting out. Love the idea of both carafe or single cup. Price was really good. Still slow.

Bought this around 6 months ago, water leaks all over our counter and provides us with about a quarter of carrafe of coffee. Great way to start our mornings. Going to return to Sam’s to see what sort of warranty we have. Will update accordingly. Signed....unhappy coffee drinker:(

I enjoyed this coffee maker WHEN IT WAS WORKING! In only a few months I had to discontinue use because the water would drain all over the counter. I had to cut the cord off, take a picture of it, and mail it all in. It was SEVERAL weeks before a replacement arrived. The coffee maker remains stationary, yet in less than 8 months, SAME PROBLEM with the replacement. Water tubing apparently gets disconnected. The warrenty will not extend beyond the 1st appliance 1 year warranty so the only thing Hamilton Beach will do is allow me to purchase directly from them again at half price and pay shipping & handling charges to receive it & that is always more than you anticipated so I will not be buying their product again.

My Hamilton beach coffee maker was in the back of my fiance pick up.. she told me I Could have it needed to be cleaned up wasn't to bad, bonus was k-pod holder guess someone didn't want it I love my coffee maker Used the kpod coffee was great I can make hot chocolate if I want once I get a travel mug I'll be set

We just bought this unit and are incredibly disappointed. Just about every other K Cup explodes grounds all over the counter and maker. When you are getting ready and want coffee in the morning, you cannot rely on this unit to 1) make coffee or 2) not cause a mess.

I have only had this coffee maker for a few days, so I can not speak to its longevity. My Keurig machine died after about 3-4 years of good service. I set out to find the "next best thing" on a budget. I'm not sure that this will last 3-4 years, but for a third of the price of the Keurig I was admiring, it'll be fine! Pros: good price, easy to use, single and carafe in the same machine, makes hot coffee, uses pods or insert which is provided Cons: Single serve takes a while to heat up, noisier than K machine, looks cheaply made. So far, a good machine!

I received this as a Christmas gift and use it everyday. Until last week when making coffee using the carafe, it dumped half the water on the counter. I thought well maybe I didn't have the carafe put back properly. I tried again the next day. Same thing. Didn't have time to research problems online so I thought I'll just use the other side. Worked great as usual for about 4 days. This morning it dumped half the coffee in the cup and the other out the front of the machine. Coffee had been inserted properly and shut properly.

My Model 49916 makes a delicious pod cup of coffee. HOWEVER, I went to use the carafe side for the first time and its water reservoir was full. I had never put water into it. Evidently, when I make a pod cup, condensation appears on the carafe side and over time had accumulated and filled the carafe water reservoir. I normally only use the pod side but I need to dry out the carafe side every time I make a pod cup. I do not see a way that the pod reservoir is connected to the carafe side. Please advise..
