Bought one of the first models...left side plate got hot when brewing on the right. It broke about a year later...then tried them again, they fixed issue with left side heating up senselessly but right side spews out water everywhere and says it's clogged when it's not! Also, says it's empty when it not! I don't think I've had the second one even a year now!

I have only had this coffee maker for a few days, so I can not speak to its longevity. My Keurig machine died after about 3-4 years of good service. I set out to find the "next best thing" on a budget. I'm not sure that this will last 3-4 years, but for a third of the price of the Keurig I was admiring, it'll be fine! Pros: good price, easy to use, single and carafe in the same machine, makes hot coffee, uses pods or insert which is provided Cons: Single serve takes a while to heat up, noisier than K machine, looks cheaply made. So far, a good machine!

We love this flex brew coffee maker. Perfect for us when we are both home...we can use the pot rather than waste the k cups. cons single brew is slow...takes about 3 minutes. but you can start it, go start your car come back and it is ready pros the flexibility is great...pot or single serve. I love you can pour the water from your cup rather than guess how big the cup is (because I have under guessed several times, lol)

This coffee pot was great while it worked. I’ve had it for a year and a half but have really only started using it the last 9 or 10 months. Worked like a charm. A few days ago I noticed it was making less coffee than I was putting into the water reservoir. It wasn't by much so I didn't pay much mind to it. Then yesterday it made a little less. This morning, I filled it to the 10 cup mark and it made 4 cups. Coffee all over the floor leaking out of the bottom of the unit. I tried to clean it using vinegar like they suggest and of course now I can't even hardly stand to be in my kitchen because the vinegar leaked all over the floor. Tried to call customer service and sat on the line for about 15 minutes and then was disconnected twice. I'm not hopeful because they don't stand behind their product for more than a year without you having to pay for repair and shipping. I'll just can it and buy a worthwhile product I guess.

I very like the coffee maker and the flexibility of being able to brew single servings, use pods or make a full pot of coffee. I also appreciate the dependability of Hamilton Beach. The problem I have is a missing part of the coffee maker I received. Directions state the funnel should be used every time for the single serve feature; however, there was no funnel included with my coffee maker. ????

I purchased this Hamilton Beach duo coffee maker from another department store. The needle is so big that almost all the pods explode on the k cup side. Not worth your time! It even says in the directions, that some pods may be defective and not work. Not true...the pods work in other k cup makers. The coffee pot side works great, hence 2 star rating. But I would have really liked both sides to work. I cleaned up more exploded pod messes than I cared to so I returned it. So I went back to the Krureg brand and payed more for the duo maker and love it!

We used this coffee maker on a semi-regular basis over six months. Now, it won't ever turn on. First, it would only brew half a cup and then stop. Then, it wouldn't brew at all. Now, the screen is completely blank and doesn't show anything even after unpluging and plugging it back in several times.

This is the second flex brew I have purchased. I forgot how bad it was. I’ve had it only 2 months and the coffee doesn’t get hot enough. Same as before. I keep going back to my Hamilton beach scoop coffee maker. It always works great and always works. I’ve been thru 4 other coffee makers since I bought the scoop coffee maker and I always come back to it.

We saw this at our local club and decided to give it a try. We have both Keurig and a regular 12 cup pot. This was to replace both. As of now we are still using it, but the single cup side is so slow and you have to put water in it everytime you want to make a cup. The regular pot side functions as expected. It does take up less space than 2 units, but it doesn't work better than either one individually.

As several other reviewers have mentioned the k-cup side of this coffee maker is very poorly designed. Every single cup that this made had grounds in it and after about 1 yr of use the pump clogged and would no longer dispense anything. I figured a little vinegar cleaning cycle might help but that lasted about 1 use before it was clogged again. It would eventually start working if I hit the brew button a few times and then gave it 20 minutes and hit the brew button again sort of like it was frozen or something. Best day ever was when I threw this thing in the trash after replacing it with a keurig.
