I love this product. People frequently guess me at more than 10 years younger than my chronological age. My skin is beautiful. I add it to my coffee every morning. No taste and not grit. It literally disappears. Additionally, I love the fact that the packaging is so eco-friendly!! The first time, it was tricky to open. Now it is easy-peasy. It stays firmly closed and is easy to open every morning. Then, I can pop it right in the recycling or my compost.

10/10 product and container. I admit I was frustrated when I tried to open your new container for the first time. I struggled with it for a few minutes, turned on my brain, got out my trusty serrated knife and cut some of the perforations. I tugged a few times and voila!

Taking this products so far has made no difference at all, I am almost done with the blue unflavored, 20 g of collagen peptides. It dissolves in coffee but it still leaves a little bit of a cloud if you ask me. Poor packaging, no scoop. I respect Mother Earth so much and I contribute to improving the climate and reduce waste in our Oceans, but, come on, the container is a joke.

While I applaud the effort to make the packaging more eco-friendly, they need to do a better job with the instructions on how to detach the new paper lid. They have an arrow indicating where to lift but it's confusing because you think it's where the lid should be separated from the body of the canister - it's not. So, if you interpret their arrow that way, you end up cutting the very top lap which is not their intention. IMO, the upward-pointing arrow should go below the dotted line with instructions to the effect of “detach here” to minimize confusion. The 2nd issue w/this paper flap top vs their previous plastic screw on cap is that you can't lift the canister by grabbing it from the top. If you did, the paper lid pulls up and away from the canister and if the canister is full - i.e. when you first buy it - the contents will spill all over your countertop and floor like it did with me just now. Very frustrating. Pls work on this. I would attached pictures showing my recommendations but their system is currently not letting me (I'll keep trying) but hopefully you can visualize what I mean.

I've been using this product for 10 years on a daily basis. I'm soon to be 74 in April and I have barely one wrinkle on my face. My sisters who are from 7 to 11 years younger than I have more wrinkles than I do and they comment on my skin all the time. I keep telling them it's from this product and also my skin care regiment. One thing I need to say though, is that the new packaging is really bad. It's so difficult to open, however, it doesn't bother me too much because I store it in an airtight glass container upon opening it. But seriously - ya gotta fix that packaging! Love your product - I'm a very satisfied customer.

Been taking this product for many years. The new packaging is awful. Cut my finger trying to open it only to find another paper covering that caused me to spill contents. “pull here” is a joke. Product is effective but I will look for another brand. And will return to Vital Proteins when/if they do something to fix it

I would not buy this again with your ridiculous new packaging. The pull tab didn't work, ripped the top after I had to force it with a knife. I completely ruined the container with your flimsy, shrinkflation packaging that saves plastic. I will not buy it again unless I can get an original container.

Love the product but the container is impossible to open. I am going to have to use a knife to cut into the top to access the collagen. I understand cutting down on plastic, but I don't know who thinks this packaging works. I'd love to see a video of the packaging designer open the container.

I've used this off and on for a few years now and while I don't see a significant difference for my thinning hair and aging skin, I don't think there is a down side. I will agree with other reviewers that the new packaging, while more environmentally friendly, is difficult to open. I'd much prefer a biodegradable bag refill and keep reusing one of my old containers.

I am a longtime user of Vital Proteins. Unfortunately, with the switch to the crappy cardboard containers, I am now looking for another brand. I am disabled from a stroke and have reduced functionality in one hand/arm. I simply cannot open the new packaging without totally destroying it. The packaging design is one of the poorest I've ever seen. Oddly, it seems to affect the taste, too. This batch of collagen tasted kind of off.
