- 4 out of 5 stars review12/10/2024Just picked up this replacement inverter generator. First one had a gas leak and needed to be returned. This generator is easy to assemble and easily started right up. No gas leak this time so I am pleased. Love being able to use the remote to start it up. Lots of power.
Very Quiet Inverter Generator
MarkhpOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/26/2024I just purchased this portable unit and am truly impressed with the ease of use and engineering applied to the generator. After having evaluated several manufacturers, this inverter represented the best choice for my residential emergencies that includes several power options of wattage output and alternate fuels.
Best Choice
DblBogeyOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/20/2024So far this generator has exceeded my expectations. I got this to replace a never-quite-worked-right prior generator and it's so far working quite as expected. I'll know better come the winter months and the days of unending cloud cover (happens a lot here in Colorado) of course. It's a bit heavy and difficult to get it into place, but I eventually got it sorted properly. The cover will be good to keep it clean when it's not in use.
Exactly What I Was Looking For!
FerretmanOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/7/2024I live in houston and having a generator is a must. I wanted something quiet and powerful so I got this one. One week after I got it we had a hurricane in houston and I was able to run my portable AC, fridge, tv lights and more without any problems, even though it was outside my bedroom window I was able to sleep how quiet it ran. On one 20 lbs of propane will easily got 8-10 hrs. I'm interested in finding out how much propane it will take one I hook it up to my whole house and run central AC and maybe gas. So far happy with it!!!.
This is one great generator!!!
FikoOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/11/2025I bought this unit to replace an older and smaller, dual fuel conventional generator. I wanted more capacity, clean power, lower noise and the ability to run on propane from my 500 gallon tank. I was extremely impressed by the packaging when I initially un-boxed it. Absolutely everything needed to get it up and running was included, including the necessary wrenches to install the feet, handle and wheels, a spark plug wrench, battery trickle charger, and the initial quart of oil. There is a full printed manual, parts list and maintenance guide, all written in clear and easily understandable language. A job well done!! The generator itself started easily and ran without issue for the full break-in period. It is very quiet compared to the...
Great generator upgrade
DlesiegeOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review4/26/2025I received this product delivered with care and complete. It meets my criteria of >10k watts with low noise. I'm most impressed with the quality. I've only hooked up and tested so far but meets all my criteria and easy to use. Excellent User manual leaving no questions. Ready now for hurricane season.
High Quality Product
SpartyMikeOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/6/2024After months of research I purchased the WESTINGHOUSE11,000-Watt Electric Start Gasoline and Propane Inverter Generator with CO Sensor, Dual Fuel. I selected it because of its wattage and compact size. Further, I like the dual fuel feature for versatility during a significant crisis. I selected the inverter generator because it provides purer energy that will not damage my sensitive electronics. I'm happy to report that after assembly and adding the provided oil, I was able to start the generator using propane fuel on the first try. I am really impressed at its low running volume. I have greater peace of mind knowing my inverter generator is at the ready in the event I need it to provide power to my home.
Powerful pure energy in a compact package.
BarnabasOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/28/2024I bought the igen11000Dfc inverter about a month ago. It was easy to assemble and after adding oil, gas and connecting the battery, it started right up on gasoline. I let it run for an hour and then switched to LP on the run. It ran great on LP also. Very quiet and a very good generator. I highly recommend this unit.
Great Generator
ApalacheeOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review5/24/2025Recently purchased and generator appears ti be a great value. Started up with no problems and ran well. Only issue is the placement of the engine oil drain plug. Not sure how to drain the oil since there is a cover under the engine that will be completely flooded with oil. Manual shows a tube extending out from the drain but does not provide any instruction on how it is used and is not included with the generator.
General review
Rhody666Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/28/2025This generator runs smoothly and quietly. It was very easy to assemble with two people and the push-button start with autochoke is awesome. The 10w/30 oil that came with it is not rated for cold climate and must be replaced with 5w/30. The engine is large so pull-starting was far from easy, but a strong adult can do it. The battery is undersized, so be prepared to find an outlet nearby to charge the battery so you can use the electric start. If the battery is charged, this generator fires up immediately and starts producing very good power. Enough power to run all of our appliances, including our well pump, and charge our large 48v battery bank. Very happy with this Inverter Generator!
Powerful and quiet generator
Sir PeterOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/9/2024Purchased for home backup power after storm and power loss; electrician wired into fusebox with outside plug-in for home natural gas furnace start. Reliable, moveable (wheels) and the perfect size to support essential power needs short-term and intermittently. Controls are easily accessible and arranged well; dual fuels perfect for flexible use.
Perfect Size for Emergency Home Use
littlebipOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/14/2024I really like this generator. It is quieter than most, and especially when using the eco mode, which saves precious fuel when supplies may be limited, such as after hurricanes here in Florida). It has enough power to run everything I need in my home. I also like the wheels and fold-away handle to make it easier to roll away when not needed.
Great generator!
Jeremiah LynnOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/2/2025Bought it yesterday and had no issues assembling it this morning. I appreciated that the necessary tools were included and the instructions were clear. I’m running it at 25% load on propane to break it in, and will vary the load during the first 5 hours as recommended. Right now I’m using a 20-pound propane tank but will later run it off my bulk propane tank. It is quiet relative to the power output though I still plan to use a sound box to reduce the noise further. I have an off-grid cabin that uses a modest photovoltaic system to provide electric power; this generator will serve as a Level 2 electric car charger for trips when we arrive in our all-electric vehicle. So far I am very pleased with this purchase and expect that it will re...
Well made and quiet
Tom in MontanaOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/29/2025I just purchased this Inverter Generator, iGen11000DFc, a couple days ago. The product was packaged nicely and well protected. Everything (other than the fuel, lol) comes included in the box, even all the tools needed for assembly. The set up was quick and easy. I connected a propane tank and fired it up. It started right up with no problem. Ran some quick tests by connecting a couple appliances to confirm it was working properly and called it a day. I will be installing a transfer switch in the next few days so that I can power my entire house during the next power outage. So far I love this Inverter Generator!
Great Inverter Generator
Ed_MOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/8/2025I compared this to a well-known competitor's Inverter Generator, and this has: * More Starting and Running Wattage * A 50A plug * 3 year warranty vs 90 day for the other competitor's generator * Lower Price Plus--this comes with every single thing you need to get it running (aside from fuel), included in the box. Lastly, this is the quietest generator I've ever owned, including the three other Westinghouse generators I've owned or still own.
Great generator at a great price!
StonecoldtxOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review6/23/2024Just received the rev2 with a build date of 3/2024. Before starting it up I ran through some basic inspections and the assembly. First the assembly. One wheel could not be installed because the bolt diameter was too big. It measured just over 5mm while the other measured about 4.8mm. The bearing that it went through measured 5mm exactly. I have to file down the bolt shaft to go through the wheel. Next, some basic checks. I pulled the spark plug to check the gap. It measured about 0.020" but the spec was 0.024-0.032" or something like that. I reset the gap and reinstalled. Then I removed all the other panels for inspection. The panel over the exhaust port had a stripped out screw put into the metal clip and was stuck in with loctite. I...
Good but sloppy build
notme23Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/24/2025Purchased this generator after our last power outage. House is on a well pump and multiple days have having to flush the toilet with bottles of water are now over. I can have the furnace in in colder months instead of trying to use various ways to keep warm.
Seems more than sufficient
D923Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/17/2025Tested it out with both gasoline and propane, works great so far. Really liked how easy it was to get it going. Has everything you need to attach the wheels, feet, and handle. Oil included is a nice touch. Also appreciate the battery trickle charger feature.
Great generator so far and great setup experience
applejacksOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/13/2024I purchased this generator right before Beryl hit and it helped us get through the few hours we had without power. We were one of the lucky ones here in Texas to not have to go days without power. I loved the ease of everything from starting to draining the oil. Especially draining the oil. Westinghouse makes it very easy. This generator is a bit on the heavy side but for what can do it's well worth it.
Whole House Back Up
Hwill52Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/31/2025Very user friendly from assembly to starting. Love the remote control start and the amount of information that the front panel displays. Looks very well built and has an excellent design for a normal hand to access the parts that will need future maintenance.
Easy to assemble, easy to use
