Works like it’s supposed too

Got this generator to replace a Generac. What a difference. Plenty of power running a 3-ton ac unit and refrigerator and all TVs and lights. I got a second one today and order parallel cables so I can run oven and downstairs AC and pool pump GREAT product

It took me quite a while researching various medium to large inverter generators before i finally found a unit that was very highly rated. Most inverter generator brands had lackluster reviews. I look at the comments of the unsatisfactory owners. With this iGen8200TFc, there were so few negative reviews, it convinced me to purchase one. Out of the box, I added oil, connected and charged the internal battery, connected up the propane hose, and while the original start took 3 tries, it now starts virtually immediately. And the added bonus is the electric start key fob. I have it under my detached, but roofed gazebo, So when we do have an outage, I can start, stop this generator from inside my home. The Westinghouse generators have that strong industrial strength look. I am used to seeing them at construction sites, so the reputation is definitely well known. Prior to this purchase, we have had 4 outages due to midwest storms this spring and summer. Now we are really ready. Very happy with my purchase so far!

Great generator with plenty of power for RV use and home backup. Setup was straightforward, and the tri-fuel capability is a huge advantage. It runs smoothly, starts easily, and gives me peace of mind during power outages. Very satisfied with this purchase.

After reading numerous positive reviews on the Westinghouse generators, I purchased the iGen8200TFc to connect to my house for future power outages. I unboxed everything, filled the unit with oil, connected the battery, hooked it up to a propane tank and this unit fired right up and ran perfectly. Also, can't believe how quiet it is. I'll run it strictly on propane or natural gas. Really impressed with this unit from the get-go. It has a lot of nice features. I checked voltages at all of the receptacles with the unit running and the gen was putting out and a solid 122VAC and 245VAC on my multimeter. I like the telescoping handle; it stows out of the way. The unit wasn't too heavy to move thru the yard, plus I really like having the tri-fuel option. I'll be ready for the next power outage!

Just received today. Hope to complete unpacking tomorrow and begin breaking in. Already impressed with the provided tools in a handy pouch and the provided screw-in oil fill funnel. The installed oil drain hose should eliminate most of the mess of draining the oil. Unit appears solid and built for heavy use.

I RESEARCHED GENERATORS FOR TWO WEEKS AND THIS GENERATOR MET ALL MY NEEDS AND THEN SOME. THE TRI FUEL IS A BIG PLUS. IT ENABLES YOU TO TEST WITHOUT ADDING GAS WHICH WILL SIT THERE UNTIL THE NEXT HURRICANE COMES OR HAVE TO BE DRAINED. THE HANDLE DESIGN IS GENIUS. THE OVERALL WEIGHT WAS IMPORTANT. ON AVERAGE 100 LBS. LIGHTER THAN IT ENABLES MY WIFE TO MANEUVER THE GENERATOR. AND IT'S QUIET.

I have completed the break-in period, and the generator is OK so far. It went to zero output on me a few times during the first couple hours of break-in and I'm guessing it may have been due to overload on the 20A output, though I never saw the Overload LED light up. I did not have any shutdowns once I started using the 30A output receptacle. I have not yet tried the 240V output, but I will be.

This is my second purchase of this generator. I do hope this one works. The first one quit after 15hrs of use. It would run but go into overload after 3hrs and would take about an 1 hr for it to cool back down and could run it again for 3 hrs then a shut down and throw the overload light on. I was running my camper at the time and only using 25% load. It seemed like an issue with the inverter control module. I know at times there are un for seen issues that can happen in manufacturing so I'm trying the same model again.

I just took delivery and have read the QuickStart instructions for this inverter generator so I cannot report how the unit operates. I can however say I like the design/layout of the control panel and the aperence of ease of use. If easy, I will update this review once I have run the required break in period.
