- 5 out of 5 stars review1/27/2025I was looking for a quality brand generator that’ll run my whole house, including the air conditioner and well pump. I didn’t want a “whole-house” built in unit that I wouldnt be able to take with me if we moved to a different home again. So far the Westinghouse iGen11000DFc is up to the task. The key features I was looking for included: will run on at least dual fuel, 50amp hookup, and parallel capabilities. The Westinghouse had all of these. The unit is very heavy but was easy to set up and get running. I haven’t had a power outage yet to run the unit for extended hours but it has run flawless during all my testing and has powered everything Ive asked of it. Because of the inverter, I no longer have issues running my built in microw...
Worth the wait, a great generator!
Mbeer30Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/10/2025Just finished the assembly and initial start-up. Went together easily (although it is very heavy), and started it with the auto start button. I am only running propane as it will be used as a secondary generator at my off-grid property in northern Michigan. The unit looks and feels of high quality and so far I am impressed with the operating decibel level (especially compared to my legacy traditional generator(s)). Looking forward to a hopefully long future of usage.
Excellent 'Quiet" Generator
David N.Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/12/2025Bought this generator after having three power outages this winter. This is my first generator and I wanted one that would be quiet but have enough power to run refrigerators, water heater, and heat. Setup was easy. Two people can easily lift the generator out of the packaging and move it around for assembly. Tools needed were included which was great since I didn't have a 24mm wrench. Only part that was a challenge was filling the oil. The funnel included looks like it should screw into the oil inlet, but it doesn't. As a result, it's a bit tricky to fill the oil without spilling some of it. Also, the key fob for remote start has a plastic ring around the battery that needs to be removed before it will work. I didn't see anythin...
Easy Setup
Home Owner 2025Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/23/2025I bought this to use as a back-up for my whole house. It will not power everything but should power the necessities. So far I have ran it for the break in and then drained all of the gas out. It started and ran great on gas and propane. I have floated the neutral and should have it wired into the main panel soon and will begin testing capabilities.
Good Value
BobG2025Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review11/15/2024I like the generator and have it set up to supply a plug that then feeds the house through a transfer switch. Easy to set up and refuel. Very quiet when running. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is I would prefer a key to the toggle switch, to easy to forget to shut off and it will drain the battery.
Inverter generator review.
Vern19Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/23/2025The iGen11000Dfc was well packaged and started easily on gasoline. I have not tried LPG. The unit appears to be well built. The unit is heavy and I suggest having a helper to unload and unpackage. Documentation needs improved. The manual refers to turning the fuel control switch to off, but there is no switch. Other then improvements needed in documentation I am pleased with the unit so far.
Started right up
RoscobuysOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/19/2024We just bought the iGen11000. Took me about 25 minutes to put on the wheels, the handle and fill it with oil. It started on the first push of the button. Ran it for an hour with just a small fan, then put my 60w laser on it and added two more fans. Never exceeded 25% of its load and ran smooth as butter. The remote works from inside the shop to the outside and its a metal building. The next day, repeated the process and smooth as silk. Love this thing and would highly recommend it. Oh, and it’s pretty easy to move around with the big wheels, even on gravel.
Perfect Fit.
LaserWrksOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/2/2024The quality that went into the building of this inverter was beyond my expectations. Everything was thought of from the drain tube to the carburetor to the drain hose to the oil plug. Love the no tools needed to remove the side panels. Loved the ease of putting the wheels on. Love the rubber protection around the fuel cap. I like how every bit of information you need about the generator is literally right on top of the inverter. The instruction manual is precise and accurate to the exact model of the inverter. It’s rare to find this kind of craftsmanship anymore. Only thing left to do is fire it up, break it in, and prepare for an outage.
Exceptional Quality
Shayne 44Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 3 out of 5 stars review6/9/2024Picked this two days ago. It was shipped fine and everything was in the box as advertised. Putting it together was quite easy and instructions were precise. Prepared it for start up was easy. Added oil, fuel and connected battery. Started right away and ran it for about an hour with no load. Shut it off and went back a few hours later and fuel was leaking from the carburetor. Fuel had accumulated in the pan under the generator. Drained the fuel from the tank thru the carb and started to look at options. It seemed like the float in the carb was stuck and that was the likely cause. Gently tapping the carb is the normal fix to release the float. Put fuel back in and left a dry rag under the carb to see if it was still leaking. It d...
Not certain at this point
FJMCOriginally posted onwestinghouse.comeCommHello, thank you for letting us know about this, we are genuinely sorry to hear about it. I have passed your feedback to our ... - 5 out of 5 stars review10/20/2024This is for the 11000DFc. Bought this to use as a whole home backup. It does not disappoint. It will run everything in my home. Obviously need to be selective on running the 240 amp appliances. My central HVAC has a variable speed motor so its an easy start. In what i would think would be a long outage i would put a window unit in my master bedroom and not us the central hvac. The generator is a bonded neutral so you might want to convert it to a floating neutral if hooking to your home through an inlet. It's easy to do.
Awesome generator!
Florida Man407Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review9/29/2024Have had unit for 6 weeks now. Doing a gradual break-in. So far the unit is working as it should. Big test will come this winter when we lose power often. Generator starts instantly on gas but has a bit of a problem starting on propane. Am trying to work that out. I would say at this point the unit is as advertised. Big test to come
Nice so far
CarlHOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review1/25/2025I just received the generator. The first thing I noticed was the generator had no assembly instructions. I was glad to see that all of the parts were included. It was pretty self explanatory, it took some time to figure out it out but I was able to put it together. It would be helpful if the serial number was labeled, I'm not sure if I got the right serial number. It would of been nice to include a cover for this generator. I'm looking forward to receiving the free cover for filling out this review. After using this generator I would be glad to to leave another review.]
Just recieved the generator
Woodennickel48Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/5/2025I just received the new generator and was able to get it started with propane fuel. This generator offers great features that include push button electric start, remote start/stop key fob, eco mode, 2 GFCI 120v outlets, 1 30A outlet with breaker switch, 1 50A outlet with breaker switch, parallel operation connections, carbon monoxide auto-shutoff, and digital data center. I can use either propane or gasoline. Overall I'm very satisfy with the purchase.
Great Features!
blueapsaraOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/11/2024Love the built of this enclosed Inverter generator. Bought it a few month back when first hurricane arrived in Florida. Fortunately we did not loose power and did not get to test under extreme emergency conditions but we feel confident this machine will do the job.
IGen 11000DFc Inverter generator
Tuck17Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review8/4/2024I bought this generator about a month ago and finally got to put it to the test this weekend. I live in FL where we need to be prepared every year for tropical storm and hurricane caused power outages. I've had a Predator 3500 for several years and love it, but it's only 120V. I wanted something that was still relatively quiet but had the power to run my big loads like central AC and stove. To run the AC I first installed a MicroAir EasyStart and it works great! This generator has no problem starting it up along with everything else in the house. Electric start is so easy. You just push the button and it fires right up. If it doesn't start the first time, just wait a second and it automatically tries starting t again. I've only had it for a...
Lots of power without the noise
cmclane28Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/24/2024This is a perfect inverter for house power backup. The dual fuel option is great! I added a line to connect to my 500 gallon propane tank so as to not have to worry about fuel during an outage. Being the inverter type, the unit is quite and only ramps up when it's needed. Will power everything I need to run!
Great inverter for house backup
StoffyOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review9/17/2024Unit shipped well and well packaged. Start up was simple, except the battery in the remote was weak and I had to replace. It is a heavy unit and definitely needs the wheels to move around. The assembly of the wheels was a little troublesome, but nothing a hammer would not correct. Overall very pleased with and would recommend to someone looking to power most of your house. Emailed support a question about floating the neutral on this unit and was provided a generic answer after a two week wait... Hoping the website will eventual provide.

JaymescpaOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/3/2025I was very impressed from the time I unpack my generator. To out of the box, running. Assembling was very easy with the tools provided. Start up with LP gas for break in period for one hour. Remote and pull start worked perfect. It was super quiet from other ones we had in the past. Already recommend this product to friends
Amazing product right out the box.!!
Street smartsOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/22/2024Just purchased the iGen11000DFc 10 days ago. This is my first generator I have ever purchased. During my research, this inverter generator was on my list of narrowed down brands/items. Almost settled on a few different ones, but something kept causing me to come back to looking at this inverter generator: has most power in it's class/runs on gasoline and propane/three ways to start/quietest in class. I made the right decision. It was packaged well, easy to set up, very quiet, and is extremely good looking (nice bonus). I put gasoline in, followed the quick start instructions (using the remote start function) and it took running like it is already broken in. This is staying housed in out toy trailer (28 foot all aluminum) with d...
Very Quiet/Easy Set Up/Starting Features/Looks
Lewis for JESUSOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/30/2024Was looking for an inverter generator that can run a significant portion of our home in the event of a power outage. Started right up first time and runs great. Only have done the "breaking in" portion so far, but so far so good. Only negative was a little damage to the side plastic shield during shipping. Have a call into Westinghouse and waiting for a call back. it will be very useful when the power goes out.
