- 5 out of 5 stars review11/26/2024Just received my IGen11000DFc. Took less than a 1/2 hour to unbox, put the handle and wheels on add oil, connect the battery. Was going to charge the battery but decided to give it a try and there was enough power to fire up. It is actually quieter than my 5200W open frame. I like the duel fuel option and will be trying it on propane at the cabin this spring. It will be used for backup power at the house for winter.
Impressed so far
Buddy 2060Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/17/2024I bought this inverter generator this month to be ready for winter weather and power outages .The Westinghouse 11000 watt inverter generator will provide enough power to power necessities and provide power that won't damage computer equipment. The generator came with all the tools needed to assemble the unit. Everything went together well and so far I would definitely recommend this unit.
Big enough for the job
Bear1971Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/21/2024Assembly went smoothly and features were clearly described, first when previewing the manual online and then referencing the hardcopy one included in the box. Upon trial startup, the generator ran surprisingly more quietly than our gas-powered leaf blower! We rarely have power outages during the winter months. But in the summer, when we have wind and rainstorms, and living in a rural area thick with many old trees growing along our country roads, we have frequent outages lasting 2-3 days when those trees/limbs fall on the power wires! We believe this generator will be most beneficial and appreciated when we only need to connect a few key electrical items (water pump, temporary AC window unit, refrigerator, TV, lamp, etc.) during those powe...
Assembles easily, includes manual; runs quietly
TomZuOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/7/2024I just picked up the generator a few days ago. It appears well built and after some easy assembly, wheels, handle, connecting the battery, and adding the included oil. I did a test run using propane. The generator started easily and ran smoothly. I was happy with the low noise level, this is an important issue for me. I started the generator with the fob, by push button and by manual pull cord, no problems. I placed a light load on the generator and it continued to run smoothly and quietly. My early impression is very good I would recommend this generator.
Appears well built.
RB54Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/2/2024I just received my new inverter and was excited to put the wheels on it and get it running. I hit the starter and it immediately came to life. It is so smooth and quiet compared to a previous generator I had. I am still breaking it in so I haven't been able to get it up to full load but it effortlessly responds to e everything I have it power up. I am looking forward to upgrading my home connection to 50A to see what it can do. Until then I am happy.
LOVE MY iGEN11000
Terry73Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/10/2024I was looking for a dual fuel inverter generator that had a 50 amp outlet, and this seems like it fills the bill. We had an inlet and interlock installed on the side of our house by an electrician so that we can plug it into the house during a power outage. We did have an initial problem getting it to start, but it turned out that the propane tank was defective. It started using another propane tank. We are still doing the break in period, so I can't comment on usage in an actual power failure.
Has a 50 amp outlet
bfm123Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review7/9/2025I just got this product delivered yesterday, It was easy to unbox and assemble. I had pulled out my toolbox but everything including quality tools were included. It started right up after I added the provided oil and connected the battery starter. I was pleased that it ran quiet at about 68 db without a load. After I powered up an upright refrigerator the decibel rating stayed the same. I am looking forward to see how it handle a much larger load but so far everything is working great after running it over an hour for initial break in. We are installing a 50 amp plug with and interlock switch to our electrical panel for emergency home backup. I had ordered the dual fuel (propane and gas) model but was pleasantly surprised when I got ...
Surprise Bonus and Upgrade on a Great Generator
mgstoehrOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/10/2024Great quality generator with no damage or missing parts upon delivery. It's extremely quiet and works great. We are using this generator to run a Hobart MVP 210 wire feed welder, and is a great addition to our shop! So far it was well worth the wait on backorder.
Superb Generator
HisHandsChurchOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/23/2025Purchased this generator after talking with electrician. Enough power to cover our needs. Inverter set helps protect electronic devices and equipment. Quiet and smooth, remote start is a added bonus. Included funnel has a threaded end, unfortunately it is smaller size then the threaded fill plug.
Nice generator, well made
Terri K.Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review4/14/2025I wrote my unpacking review a month ago, and now I've completed my first break-in operation. After checking the oil - just to make sure - and connecting the battery and filling the tank with gas that was treated with Sta-Bil, I rolled it out into the driveway. I decided to try using the remote fob, and it started right up. It ran a little rough at first, but I realized I had it in Eco mode, so I switched that off and it smoothed right out. I let it run for 30 minutes, and plan to do that every month until I get through the 5 hour break-in, then change the oil. I was very impressed by how smooth it ran and how quiet it was. After I shut it down, I plugged in the battery tender that came with it to make sure the battery stays in good sh...
First Operating Review
dws3Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/12/2024Ran great for more than 5 hrs. Was really impressed with how quiet it is compared to the open frames I've had in the past. I did have a problem finding the serial number to register it but guessed at the number on the model number placard. Overall, very happy and would highly recommend this generator.
Great Inverter Generator
Thumper10_5Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review2/26/2025Received on time, packaging was very secure. Assembly very easy. I was very pleased with the overall design and function of generator. Started easily, Haven't finished break in period yet but so far so good. very quiet for generator of this size.
Very well designed,
slimsmithOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review3/12/2025I just bought this, put 1.1L of oil (1.2L oil provided) in it, filled the gas tank and it started immediately. It is so much quieter than my old Generac. The provided connections include 2 standard 3 prong 120VAC sockets on a GFCI, a 30VAC and a 50VAC. Remote control start, push button start and pull start backup. I don't have a lot of time running it yet but it loaded up fine and I'll have a lot less concerns about losing power from the tall trees, high winds and rain soaked ground of the Pacific Northwest.
Great features! Easy setup, lots of quiet power!
Holy DiverOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/21/2024I bought this generator a little over a month ago after I saw it advertised. I am so impressed with the relative quietness of this unit with this much power. With an EasyStart soft starter I had no problem using this to run my 3 ton AC compressor as well as just about everything else in the house. Having an auto-chock with remote start makes it so easy for my wife to start if needed, which is a huge plus when I'm away on business. I'm very pleased with my purchase and now I'm tempted to buy another one for the parallel capabilities, if I can only find one in stock! I think these are very popular right now because of the combination of power and quietness at this price.
Quiet with lots of power!
cmclane28Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/18/2025My husband and I purchased this Generator after 15 days of no power after the Northern Michigan Ice Storm. It is built like a tank and easy to follow all the Manufactures videos on set up and maintenance. We are currently waiting for our electrician to install a transfer switch. We are very Happy with our purchase and hope we will never need to use it. Peace of mind is priceless after living 15 days in the Winter with no power. Or home was 40 degrees and we were terrified our Animals would freeze. We never want to go through an experience like this again so we invested in this Beautiful Westinghouse inverter Generator IGen11000DFc.
Survived Northern Michigan Ice Storm
Jim & JodiOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/27/2025I bought this generator as a home back up and it’s proven to be a reliable, capable machine! Assembly was straight forward, it started with no issues out of the box and, after break in, I found it was able to provide stable power to critical circuits in my home. I’ve had no starting issues or power fluctuations. I’m confident I purchased to right power solution to run sensitive electronics during outages!
Great home back up generator!
D. J. B.Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/24/2024Shipment was great and the item is definitely heavy but to be expected. However with the large no flat wheels and handle it makes it super easy to move around. We haven't hooked it up to the house yet, but packaging and all included accessories were top notch and direction and very easy to follow.
Large and in Charge!
Husker123Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review4/11/2025Excellent buy for our home. The generator is quality built, sturdy and amazingly quiet. I have a Predator 5000 and it seems this generator is as quiet or quieter than the 5000. I only wish there was a built in switch to have a choice to go back and forth to a floating neutral or not. It would be nice to have that option rather than cutting a wire and heat shrinking it. But otherwise a great product.
Quaility Product
ArtMMOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/7/2024Features I wanted (prioritized in order), which I found on this iGen11000DFc generator: An "inverter" generator (to get THD or Total Harmonic Distortion under 3%) A "Dual Fuel" generator (to run either Propane or Gasoline) An electric start (from a battery) with "recoil" or manual start option Size: Something close to 10,000 watts (or 10KW) to easily handle any one circuit in our home (hot water heater, electric range, electric clothes dryer, etc.) Transfer switch ready (so I can "plug the house into it") Able to deliver 240 Volt circuits (required to be able to "plug the house into it") Bonus feature: The "c" in the model name for Westinghouse indicates it has a carbon monoxide shutoff feature - to shut down if carbon monoxide leve...
Sturdy and solid
WClarkOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/9/2024The generator was easy to unbox and assemble. It came with everything I need to put it together and connect it to a propane tank. I have close neighbors so I like the fact that this runs quietly. I haven't needed to use it yet but I'm confident that it will keep my house going if we have a power outage.
Just what I needed
