My family purchased this generator for the RV and emergencies. It works well with the RV and we feel we are more prepared for loss of electricity. It is not bulky but puts out good power. I highly recommend this for anyone with an RV or any outdoor enthusiast. But I also recommend this for the basic homeowner in case of loss of electricity.

Tested it out on my Refrigerator in the garage. Ran smooth & quiet in Eco. Mode for10min. No problems. Would definitely refer a friend to buy. I bought the 2500 might get another. 48 pounds is easy to handle and move around.Great product from Westinghouse keep up the good work.

i just purchased two of these little beasts. They are super easy to start. I purchased them to use side by side for a horse trailer with living quarters since camping with horses is rustic 99% of the time. Once I have used them I will try to come back and leave more feed back. They are pretty light weight for invertors and I can pick them up without too much difficulty. (I'm a senior female)

Nice quiet inverter. Put oil and gas in and started right up. Very quiet, especially on Eco mode. Easy to carry and will be great for camping, or plugging in delicate electronics during a power outage. The option to hook to another Westinghouse inverter with the parallel cables is a nice perk.

We bought this for backup power in case of a power outage. Luckily we haven't had to use it but I did start it up and went through it's features. I found it to be very well built, compact and easy to use. The directions were easy to follow and the display was easy to understand using the directions. Excellent product for the price.

With the recent hurricane Helene, I found that I could not recharge my solar generator because the power was out and we had cloudy skies. This generator inverter is just the tool I need to recharge my larger solar generator. Also, I was looking for a dual fuel inverter, and this one fit that requirement as well.

I reviewed and studied "every" portable lower wattage generator/inverter sold in the US! And on paper, features, capabilities, price and, of course, as always comparing to Honda 2000 and Yahama 2000, the Westinghouse Igen2500 scored the best! On price it beats almost everybody, but I would have paid the same as the "BIG2". Why?...........the running wattage is 2200....I need 1800....that means I will almost always (except on surges) be running well below max saving fuel with less NOISE! I am one of those oldies that appreciates and welcomes technology that actually works for you! The diagnostics display is digitally fantastic.......watts, fuel time to run, fuel level, and volts (sadly missing amps) right there all the time (checked them against interactive power meter). Only one offers similar and some dabble alittle., but not the BIG2 at all. 98cc keeps fuel and noise level down and under 50 lbs just like the BIG2. Since noise levels are mostly subjective even when measuring with DB meter, it seems to be mostly a tie with the edge going to BIG2 according to tests run on Youtube not the manufacturers. That's why I built a 2- sided roofed baffle box to steer the noise away. All the controls are upfront and fully visable like on all the better units. All the internals....oil, gas drain, air filter and spark plug are very accessible and visable....check any of the competition for this convenience! Offering a 3 yr warranty and lifetime tech support is above average than most, though I am hoping I'll never find out if either are any good! Do your homework and pick one that's best for you! jimg

just fired it up so can't provide too much meaningful data but so far i like it. price was right. very easy to use. nice packaging and controls. started very smoothly and runs fairly quiet. writing this review because i was offered a free cover for the generator but now apparently i am not going to be sent one! seems wrong to offer something then take it back. but that's nothing against the generator; more westinghouse as a company

I've only use it once for four hours but it ran very well, was very efficient, and was unbelievably quiet. (I couldn't get over how quiet it was….I really couldn't hear it from 25 yards away.) I only had two fans on it as the load, but was still very impressed. I'm looking forward to using it again in the future for situations that are planned and emergency unplanned uses out of necessity.

Purchased 1 month ago during a power outage. It was easy to start but would shut down for no apparent reason even under no load. After contacting Westinghouse and providing details they promptly replaced the unit with a new one. The new unit has had limited use but appears to operate properly. The construction appears to be of good quality and features are useful. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and appreciate the good customer service.
