This generator has gotten some fantastic reviews online, and has some really great features. The LED readout gives you some very useful information including the amount of time remaining and the fuel level. I liked this particular model (iGEN 2500) which has more output than most that are the same size. Price and quietness were also major benefits.

Purchased for boondocking type camping. The generator is quiet, dependable, and starts with one pull almost every time. It is also very fuel efficient. If I am camping alone, I can run the entire weekend without refueling. (about 8 hrs total run time)

This little unit really surprised me. What a great value. I love the control panel and illumination. Great workmanship, well engineered. I was surprised that it had a fuel filter. The manual is top notch. I looked at all the small gens in this size range, this one is the best. Having the 30A RV plug helped sell me The only negative is the messy and slow oil fill, but all the other features make this a small annoyance.

Pros: - Oil & funnel included - Started for first time on first pull - Light (for me at least) - LCD readout is useful - Paralleling function works Cons: - A phillips-head screwdriver is needed to take the side off (no big deal really) This little devil turned out to be everything that I had expected and hoped for. The box arrived somewhat damaged, but I went ahead and opened it anyway, and the generator was just fine. There's a small container of oil and a funnel that come in the box. It took almost no effort to fill the oil reservoir; just pop the cover off and fill it up. My generator took the whole jug of the provided oil. I did not add any additional oil. Before the first start, I filled the gas tank about halfway with ethanol free gas from the local Bucees. I choked the engine, and it started on the first pull. After about 5, maybe 10 seconds, it became clear that it no longer needed the choke, so I dialed it down to the "Run" position and the generator ran just fine. The parallel cable works very well. Another guy at the office bought the same generator and the parallel cable, so we tested it out with a series of shop fans and a portable A/C unit. The load balancing appears to work well (18% & 26% with fans; 80% & 82% with A/C and fans). 10/10 would recommend!

I recently purchased this generator and am very happy I did so. One of my biggest requirements was that it was quiet and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The fact that it is dual fuel and starts easily is icing on the cake. I highly recommend this generator.

The unit arrived without any damage and after inspecting is a very good quality and assembly however after using the unit multiple times it has incurred rattle which I have not been able to find and is somewhat annoying. Number two on fuel economy mode the unit constantly surges find me when it is running at a higher RPM at a steady load the surging is reduced to almost nothing. Number three the unit on the front panel has a reset button and a 20 amp fuse however when the unit is overloaded it only trips to reset button and not the 20 amp breaker also there is nothing in the instructions that says anything about that breaker it does not even show 1. Now for the good things I am very happy with the build quality of the unit it is extremely user-friendly very quiet and gets great fuel economy I change the oil every 50 hours the unit does not smoke but once in awhile you have to add all within that 50 hour. For a camping generator I highly recommend this unit I use it at my cabin I started Friday evening and it runs non-stop until Sunday late afternoon I power of 5000 BTU air conditioner polite a coffee pot in the morning and my phone chargers Etc and the unit performs flawlessly and I only use 5 to 6 gallons of fuel

Followed the simple start-up guide and ran for over an hour the first time. I charged portable battery generators for camping. In ECO mode you can hear the idle down (or up) depending how much power you are pulling. Exactly what I was looking for and looking forward to using for camping!

I thoroughly researched inverter generators for not only as an alternate power source for my recreational vehicle but also for an emergency power source for my home in case of an extended power outage. I live on the Gulf of Mexico and witnessed what Hurricanes Michael and Ian did. It was bad enough to lose home air conditioning, but to lose all the food in my home fridge was costly. So, next time, my Westinghouse iGen2550DFc will power not only the home fridge but will simultaneously power my rv's ac in the driveway. Already ops checked and this inverter generator powers them BOTH easily! The packaging was great. I added oil and gas and it started right up. I ran a small fan for 5 hours to break it in. It was really quiet compared to what I hear coming from the neighbors during hurricane season. I feel ver confident that it will meet my needs when I need it next hurricane season.

Just purchased for a power supply to charge batteries when camping. Like the size and weight and that we can use LP rather than having to carry gas. Had a little issue getting it started at first then pulled the spark plug to check the gap. The gap setting was off. Once adjusted, the unit ran fine. Gap setting was reason for 4 stars. Pleased with how quiet the unit runs as well.
