The generator starts up with one pull.

I purchased this as an emergency generator in case of a power failure. I test ran it with a light load (fan) for two hours and it worked perfect. I gave it four stars ONLY because the bonus program does not offer the generator cover any longer, so I was stuck with the power strip. The generator itself would be 5 stars.

Seems to be a great value

After oiling and fueling for first time it started on third pull and ran smoothly. I have not put under load yet but this seems to be a solid product. Great design and easy to carry. I grade at four stars now but would give five if the generator works for a long time.

Easy to set up and very portable

Once you unbox this unit and fill it with oil, you're set. Just select the fuel type and you'll have power. It's relatively light for the amount of power it generates. Great for keeping the fridge cool for interruptions in power or for bringing the comforts of home to the outdoors.

Well built

This generator looks well built. Looks like quality materials were used. I’m happy it’s a dual fuel. Very good bang for your buck. I bought it for emergencies because it seems like my power goes out whenever it gets a little windy. However I haven’t gotten the chance to test it but I’m sure it’s going to work as intended.

Well designed. Great for RV

Compact and easy to carry. I bought 2 of the 2550DFc generators with 50 amp parallel cable, instead of one 5000 watt to save my back. The access panels are easy to remove. It starts on first pull almost always. You do have to have fuel on, ignition on, choke on, and fuel tank vent open. Cool design features: gas tank vent can be closed to keep air out during storage, there is a carburetor drain valve with tubing, oil fill is easy by tipping the generator and screwing in the funnel with a gasket, it comes with the right- sized oil bottle. My serial number for warranty registration is by the spark plug on a paper sticker. It is not labeled and looks different in the owners manual. The duel fuel model does not have the electronic display of amps , fuel level, and run time. In parallel mode the manual says not to run in Eco mode; this is so the 60Hz cycles can stay synced up. I am loving mine and strongly recommend it. I hauled it around in a lawn wagon and trimmed tree limbs with a light weight 120v electric chain saw on a pole.

First Inverter Generator - Awesome

This was my first generator I have ever purchased and It seems to be a great one. I looked at a lot but I decided on this because, of the price point, features and postive reviews I have seen. I really like that this has two outputs where a lot seem to just have one. The unit is fairly quiet and you can forget its there. Its not to heavy to carry around and feels very sturdy. Instrusctions are clear and all the information is on the unit as well such as oil type and other specs. Very glad I went with this one!

RV Plug and enough for my AC

I like the dual fuel, our intent is to always use propane, but I like the option for both. We originally looked at the 2800 but it doesn't have the 30A plug. This one saves us from bring more parts and allows us to run the AC (with most other services in the RV off). It's also 60lbs lighter than our old generator. I would recommend.

Little Powerhouse

I recently purchased this Westinghouse iGen2550c inverter generator for tailgating, and it has exceeded my expectations. This little powerhouse is not only compact and highly portable, but it also delivers consistent, clean power to run all our essentials during tailgate parties. From powering speakers and TVs to keeping the cooler cold, this generator has been a game-changer. The quiet operation is a huge bonus, allowing us to enjoy our outdoor gatherings without the usual generator noise. I couldn't be happier with this purchase; it's reliable, efficient, and perfect for enhancing the tailgating experience.

Bought to run RV A/C

I bought this generator because I believe it will power my 13,500 BTU RV Air Conditioner given the many reviews I have read, and videos watched. This generator seems to have an ability to absorb the immediate surge at A/C startup much better than other generators in the same output range. It will easily handle the ongoing power requirement of the Air Conditioner which I measure at about 1400 Watts, plus some other electrical requirements at the same time(like battery charging). I was also impressed with the fact that it comes with a 3 year warranty, which I hope I will not have to use!

Works as advertised

I bought this to power essentials in a power outage (fridge, wood stove blower, etc.) in October 2024. Took it out of the box. Seems to be missing the Quick Start Guide, but i downloaded it from the site. It was easy and straight forward. I tried it out using the propane option, and it powered both of these essentials without any increase in speed from the unit, as I had it on eco mode. Love the fact that I can add additional ones with the parallel cables and the fact that it can use either propane or gas. Would recommend this for what i bought it for or a camping/tailgate power source.
