Quiet and versatile

I use this product to power a travel trailer. I liked it so much I bought another to hook up in parallel to power the air conditioner. The Efficiency mode works great to save fuel and run quietly when the load is lower. The data display is great showing the output and the fuel remaining. Great value!

Not sure YET?!?!

I purchased this generator because of the great reviews that were online. I did all the setup per directions, started it and it ran well. I then followed the steps and placed a load on it. Still worked, I was excited. THEN, I took the generator on a planned trip where it was going to be v v cold. I made sure to check the oil, gas and that there was nothing to block exhaust. I pulled the cord and it started, GREAT!! HOWEVER, the moment I put a load on it (small heater 200w) IT STOPPED!!! I am going to try again to see if I did something wrong and if I did, I will revise this review. IF NOT, I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT OTHERS DON'T HAVE SAME ISSUE.

Works well in both gas and LP mode

Haven't had it long enough to give it a thorough review, but so far works well and handles the loads I have put on it (sitll within the 5 hour breakin, so have not put it at full load). It does require a couple of minutes of running before applying load - if you load it up too quickly, the engine simply stops running. Not a bad self protection feature, since the engine should be warmed up before putting it under load.

SO FAR SO GOOD

Wouldn't start out of the box until I read a review that said if you follow the Westinghouse direction of tightening the gas cap until it "clicks" the generator will be air starved. Sure enough. it started right up. The unit is also noisier than I expected-difficult to hold a conversation 25 feet away when at 75% power. BUT the unit seems well built, can be carried and boosted into an RV storage compartment using both hands and the display panel is great. I also think this is the perfect size to run the 15,000 BTU A/C and still have some battery charging ability left over. I hope to have a long, trouble-free relationship with it.

Works Well, But Case Mis-Assembled

This unit was received with a mis-assembled case, such that the splash shield was not seated properly and could have provided a path for fuel to enter the case had I not noticed it before adding fuel. It was a simple fix involving a few screws and a c-clip to get everything assembled properly. After that, the generator worked fine and was as quiet as expected.

Lightweight and Durable

I did watch a you tube video to learn how to start it up and eventually had no trouble. Initially I had a hard time starting it because it was hard to pull. I then started a more slower approach and working it easily. So don't give up if you have a problem initially.

Exceeds expetations

I received this inverter this week to use for camping. After connecting it to propane it stated up and ran after a few easy pulls. There are very few fumes and the control panel is easy to understand. Our camping adventures are going to be much easier with this very portable quiet unit. I can't wait.

Clean unit, Easy Operation, Eco mode is great!

I bought this to pair with my new travel trailer and so far, I'm very happy! Arrived without damage and setting up has been easy. Comes with everything you need except gas. Eco mode is very helpful at night so it will run the majority of the night! Looking forward to more trips with this

Honda and Predator Killer

I purchased 3 total. A 5000df, a 5000c, and a 1500c. One for the camper one for the house and one for the boat. I could not be more pleased with all of them. The only change I would make if I could go back is I would have gotten another 5000df instead of the 5000c. I believe the dual fuel will be more beneficial in a crisis. Last year when the hurricane hit we had to drive 40 miles both directions to fuel. The stations had gas but no power, but you could get propane plus I had 3 tanks on standby already for the camper. Overall I could not be more pleased with my purchases.

Started right up!

I just took it out of the box and added oil and gas.....started up on second pull. Very quiet at start up. Checked with voltmeter, looked good. Hooked up a small heater with 600, 900 and 1500 watt setting. Let run several minutes on each setting and now I'm going to drain the oil and add new oil just to be safe. But I'm very pleased so far!
