I bought the generator and have used it on a project we are working on. I followed the manual on the oil change and have been totally impressed with the operation and features it offers to the user. I would highly recommend this generator to anyone.

I received the generator today and completed the start up procedures. The generator started easily on LPG after purging the air from the lines. I ran the generator for several minutes without a load to get a heat cycle on it. It ran smoothly and is very quiet. You can have a normal conversation within three feet of the unit.

Received the generator. Followed the quick start guide, added the supplied oil, added new gas, turned off ECO mode, turned vent cap on, set the choke, pulled about 20 times on the recoil pull cord. No start. Did not turn over. Set to run and everywhere in-between and kept pulling the recoil cord but engine would not turn over at all. Checked the spark plug. Appeared fine but completely dry. Drained the fuel out of the carburetor, appeared the fuel was getting from the tank to the carburetor. Opened the carburetor, ran compressed air thru the fuel injector. Put back together and refueled. Still could not get to turn on. Opened the front panel. A two-wire black and red connector was disconnected but did not appear to attach to anything upon inspection. Everything else appeared fine. Put front panel back on. I think I got a lemon. I'm going to try Westinghouse support and see where I get.

Totally new to inverter generators...needed a generator to power our home oil furnace in case of a long power outage...after a long time taking to research what to buy...the Westinghouse iGen2550C was our number 1 choice. As we write this review, and having used only a few times the unit our first impression is an Aplus (satisfied)...the unit is lightweight 40Lbs, easy to operate, one pull gets it started and is extremely quiet. No regrets at all.

Received this unit in good order with everything I was suppose to get. I will be using it to power Our travel trailer when camping in a dry camp area with no other available power. Have not used it yet but with all the research I did, I feel confident that this generator will be great for our needs.

I haven't owned this that long so I can't speak to how this will perform over time. However, I was extremely pleased with the contents of the package. The documentation is top notch. I particularly like that they give you a one page maintenance guy that you can just hang up in the garage or something. All the tools are included to get the thing running and do basic maintenance. It runs very quietly, and was easy to start.

I bought this item 6 months ago. It ran fine at the time and I use it to run a small air conditioner on my camper. When the a/c is on high, the inverter shows that it is at half power. It runs the air conditioner well and is relatively quiet for a generator, but after about 4 months, it started shutting off for no reason. It will run for about 15 minutes with no problems, but it won't stay running.

After putting in the oil and gas, I gave the cord an easy pull just to get a feel for it, and was surprised when it started...first pull. I plugged in an 1850 watt hairdryer and everything seems to be functioning perfectly. The build seems solid and the generator is very quiet in comparison to my conventional generator. I feel confident it will meet my needs when emergency power is needed.

I researched my needs for quite a while and kept going back to the iGen 2550. Its lightweight but runs my 5000 BTU air conditioner, battery charger and fridge in my camper with ease! It was only 90 degrees today but kept camper at 65 inside and never wavered. ran it on regular and eco mode with no problems for 6 hours! Couldnt be happier with the purchase!,

Bought this for my horse/sleeper trailer. Could not have asked for better results. Powers all my lights, refrigerator and coffee maker without an issue. Will buy another down the road and tie them both together for double the power. Unit is very quiet.
