Never had a generator. Bought this before an incoming winter storm. Out of the box this generator was easy to set up and get running. Only complaint I have is filling the oil tank, the manual said many times don't overfill so I kept checking and checking until I used the whole bottle and finally the dipstick showed an oil level. Why not just say the bottle included is the right amount. After that put gas in and it started easily. Was able to plug in an appliance within a minute of it running. Works great. Definitely glad I made the purchase.

I was looking for an inverter generator that I could run a refrigerator and a few lights on when the power goes out at home. But, I didn't like the price tag of the Honda. I did my research and found that the Westinghouse iGen2500 was just what I needed and at a much reasonable price. So, I got online and bought one. I haven't had the chance to test it out on my house yet but I did run it in my shop with lights and small hand tools plugged in. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it worked and especially how quiet it was. I can literally stand one foot away from it and have a normal conversation without raising my voice. I love this generator.

This is a great generator. I have 2 smaller Westinghouse 2200 watt generators that I purchased 7 and 5 years ago that I use for camping and can run them in parallel they are great and still running strong after a lot of use. This one runs great as well and having the ability to run on either gas or propane is great. I anticipate many years of use.

I purchased this generator for running a small air conditioning on a boat and as a backup generator to power essentials in my house in the event of an extended power outage. The igen2500 easily fits the bill. Its light, has plenty of power and is easy to start.

Purchased in January, 2024. This is my first inverter generator. Chose this model because it is a dual fuel. I use this unit with propane only as I don't to transport gasoline. Unit came with propane hose, regulator, engine oil, and small tool kit. Operations manual was clear and assisted in becoming familiar with unit and its operation. Unit was easy to start and runs quietly. Will primarily use with travel trailer while camping but will be useful in the event of power outage at home.

I purchased this generator to run a sump pump and some lights when the power goes out. After shopping around, I don't think you can beat this unit for the price. It has more output than anything else in its class. The controls are very easy to understand and the manual is spot-on with details on maintaining this gem.

The output is great compared to the weaker 1600 watt generators. I drilled a small hole for the carb drain hose to exit the side panel and another to open the drain screw, without needing to open the cover every time you store it. I think the easily scratched plastic would be better if it was a high gloss finish like Motorcycle plastics.

This generator is perfect for what we need!!! We have a small pickup camper without an air conditioner and this runs the portable air conditioner without any problems!!! Also I can charge my phone and watch too! An added bonus is that it is super quiet!!!

My inverter arrived yesterday. Added oil & gas and it started right up. It's surprisingly quiet. I considered a Honda 2200 but this was about 1/3 the price. It seems to be well made. It's light and easy to move around and store. I'll try to post another review after I use it for a month or so.

Just purchased this generator. Added oil and gas, started up with first pull! Everything was packaged just as advertised. Much quieter that standard generators. Intend to use for camping, and I see not reason that a five star rating will not be warranted after actual use. Satisfied so far!
