Runs my small camper

I have a small camper. It runs both the A/C and microwave just fine at the same time. It's not really to obnoxious when it comes to how loud it is. Run it for a short period of time to cool down the camper or microwave something. Runs the 110 plugs just fine. It's easy to start up and switch from Gas to Propane even while running. It is touchy though on the oil level. To much it will shut itself down and to little it will not start. The Dip stick is a little hard to read with fresh oil and it plastic. I personally prefer a metal dip stick so the oil shin is more prominent over the gray plastic. Overall shall see how it holds up to beating around in the bed of a pickup truck boondocking.

Generator Won't Start - DOA

Received the generator. Followed the quick start guide, added the supplied oil, added new gas, turned off ECO mode, turned vent cap on, set the choke, pulled about 20 times on the recoil pull cord. No start. Did not turn over. Set to run and everywhere in-between and kept pulling the recoil cord but engine would not turn over at all. Checked the spark plug. Appeared fine but completely dry. Drained the fuel out of the carburetor, appeared the fuel was getting from the tank to the carburetor. Opened the carburetor, ran compressed air thru the fuel injector. Put back together and refueled. Still could not get to turn on. Opened the front panel. A two-wire black and red connector was disconnected but did not appear to attach to anything upon inspection. Everything else appeared fine. Put front panel back on. I think I got a lemon. I'm going to try Westinghouse support and see where I get.

Awesome generator

Really like this generator's size, weight, sound level and portability. Easy to start and quite powerful for its size. The fact that it has dual fuel capability is a plus. Personally I like using it running on propane. Good for home power outage, tailgating and camping. Hope to have it trouble free for several years. After break-in and running approximately 25 hours I gave it its first oil change and used a synthetic oil. In my opinion it is smartly designed. Truly wish it had an hour meter though to track its usage for oil changes and other maintenance,

Emergency Power

Purchased this to replace a 25 year old generator that generates same wattage but is twice the weight as this inverter generator. Ordered online and just got the generator today so not much I can say except I added oil and fuel and it started after a few pulls on the crank. This should operate my freezer and pellet stove should we have a power outage this winter. I selected this generator because of dual fuel feature so that I can hook up my grill propane tank if I run low on gasoline. It was nice that an actual warranty book and operating manual and maintenance guide came with this generator.

Immediate failure to operate

Hard to start at first then immediately went to an over speed situation and indicator showed over load situation. Unable to contact service on 7/3 and when contacted them 7/5 there was NO sense of helping a traveling customer get a replacement shipped soon enough to catch up with us.

Nice control panel & lightweight

Just purchased have not started up. Reviewed manual and looked over the controls , warning lights. Great features and I like the light weight of this. Great price. Would be ever better if it had a holder to keep tools with it inside like my Honda generator . Fuel drain features are smart

Easy to use

Just opened the box. My husband did all the recommended actions to operate the generator ( adding oil, adding gas, checking spark plug). This little machine started right away WITHOUT using the choke. We let it run for a good while without any issues. The eco mode makes it a bit quieter. It hasn’t been used for the main reason i bought it: run a well water pump ( 1.5HP) in case of power outage. It is in another location. so i will update this review. But so far i like it: easy to start, not too heavy for me to carry. The pictures in the manual are very well done and easy to understand. Instructions easy to follow.

Yikes!

New in box. 9/19/2017 made 1st oil and fuel fill. Noticed residual of oil on stick before any fill. Is that normal? Attempted 1st startup same day, 9/19/2017. After several pulls, gasoline ran out of unit and all over driveway. Float bowl drain screw was open (per advice from online chat). Instructions do not ever mention to check the float bowl drain screw before startup. It is only opened to drain the gas. Closed screw, aired out generator with fans for several hours as well as cleaned driveway. Unfortunately, wife came out at this time and you can only imagine her concern. The entire back of the house smelled like gasoline. She was now calling the city recycling to see if they would promptly haul the generator away as I am at the same time trying to reach Westinghouse tech support. Next startup is now successful, however still makes some odd deep puff sounds during idling? Is this normal? Ran with no load for 30 minutes. Added about 330 watts for over an hour, then added and ran a small 5,000 btu a/c for over an hour. Slowly removed loads and let gen idle for 5-10 minutes. Still noticed deep puff sounds during the idling. Final step, turned gen dial to off, but unit would not turn off. Finally turned dial to choke and system sputtered off. I think I need a replacement and it must be guaranteed new. I have too much concern and suspicion about this unit.
