After researching on portable generators for over 3 months, every brand, I selected the westinghouse igen 2500. I compared weight, fuel consumption, noise level, and portability. Bottom line, this beats all in combination of my requirements. Super buy, super performance, noise levels was surprising once I hit the efficiency button. Used it over a month with small lapses. Running simultaneously refrigerator, lamp, fan and a coffee maker with barely 50% of power. Love it!

Bought to take camping with our R.V.- it runs great, is powerful enough to run the air conditioner or the microwave, is extremely quiet, and light enough to be very portable! My only complaint is that it seems to have a slight sputter while running- even with no load on it. That being said, it hasn't posed a problem yet!

Purchased this off a friend's referral. I used this unit to run a RV AC. It was pretty quiet and did the job nicely. I ran the unit on low and was only running the unit at 50% output. It ran for 6 hours that way. It ran on 1st pull as advertised and has been running great so far. I am pleased with the unit. I am looking forward to testing it some more this summer.

I bought this after storms took out the power knew it was going to be a few days, the price was lower than some other generators but this has proven to be great. Runs 10-14 hours on 1 tank of fuel. The oil levels must be kept right or it won't start or will shut off after a few minyes. The perfect amount of oil is almost 3/4 of the included amount, it doesn't say that anywhere but it needs to.

iGen2500...My first outing with this machine and I could not be more happy. Starts first pull every time. Very quiet machine. You don't even know it's running while in a small group of people outside tailgating. I ran two crockpots and a large margarita machine at the same time with no problem at all. I highly recommed this generator for camping/tailgating.

I am a first time generator owner/user. The manual has references to things that do not have precise correspondence to the tables. Example, Page 20 refers to "relief valve" without referencing a table or figure number. There is a figure that describes something as a "valve". Are the the same thing? I don't know, because I am a first time generator owner/user. That produced uncertainty in my setting up and using the product. The manual should have said on page 16 approximately how much volume of oil to initially service the unit (iGen2550DFc) with. It turns out that it needed the whole container supplied with the generator, but it should would have been nice if I had known that, because the manual said on page 16 to stop frequently (and presumably check), and it says, in bold, "DO NOT overfill", which was very cumbersome since the supplied funnel needs to be screwed into the oil dipstick hole. The manual's specific instructions on page 20 for starting the engine were ambiguous. It said that if it didn't start, one should repeat steps, but it didn't say which steps to repeat.

Just purchased this generator, used for a full day and was impressed with how easy it was to setup and get started. The unit was nice and quiet, and uses very little gas. The manual is very detailed and easy to understand. My daughter bought one also and was able to get it up and running herself without any problems. I would recommend this for anybody not wanting to wrestle a large heavy unit.

Studied a lot of Inverter generators and decided on the Westinghouse Igen 2500. these units are cheaper in price than a lot of competitors but the quality seems as good or better. Units were fast to set up and started right up on first pull. Quiet operation. Used only for about 6 hrs so far but ran fine

We ordered this generator in response to storm power outages so that we could run our refrigerator, upright freezer, and some lights in the house. The generator handles these items easily. It is quiet, easy to start, and easy to service (change oil, etc). When the generator arrived it started great and generated electricity as expected, but one of the LED indicators was not working. I called Westinghouse and they were very responsive. They immediately sent me a new generator and also sent me a shipping label to ship the other one back. I am impressed with the performance of this generator...and it was only 40% of the cost of Honda!

I chose the iGEN2500 because of the extra wattage in a unit of the same size and weight as units with lesser wattage. Unpacked the iGEN added gas and oil, and unit started on second pull. Have used it on varying loads and performs very well. Not as quiet as the much more expensive Honda but........I've got more available watts!! Very pleased, just wish the cover was still available!!
