Westinghouse 2550 Watt Gas Powered Inverter Generator with Recoil Start and Quiet Technology

Just got this for camping and so far so good.  Easy to unpack and prep.  Started on first pull.  Seems nice so far.

We bought this on sale during Memorial Day weekend and we have really enjoyed it.  We hope it lasts us many years.

Glad I got this generator. Its light enough for me to carry myself and powerful enough to run the air conditioner on my travel trailer.

Good inverter generator

Bought this yesterday, fired it up and it was very simple to start. It worked great. Light weight enough to move around and easy to operate.

Had a power outage yesterday.

Bought a few months ago and just tried to use it  for the 1st time. The battery is not working and won't take a charge. The battery is dead.

Generator very easy to put into operation. Started on the first pull. Easily powers my Sprinter camper van RV air conditioner.

Easy to put into operation and start on first pull

Bought this generator to charge my onboard batteries in my Carriage Cameo 33ft 5th wheel RV. Relatively small, lightweight and easy to maintain.

Excellant Backup for RV

Starts on the first pull, enough power to run my Travel Trailer A/C and lighting, fridge etc. Quiet operation and 1/2 the cost of the competitor.

Great Genset

I wanted to run with propane, but tried many times and with two tanks, reconnecting, choke, no choke it wouldn't start.  Gas didn't seem to be coming out of the regulator. 

So next I tried with gas and it ran easily.  Except it stops.  Usually after 15 minutes to 4 hours.  I've now spent about 2 days and 2 tanks of gas.  First it seemed to stop only with eco. Then normal mode stopped.  I tried running with a loose cap to make sure there wasn't a vacuum problem, etc. Sometimes the low oil light came on and the unit quit right away.  The tech advised that too much oil could also be a problem and it took about 4 tries and 3 spills to get the oil level which rested right in the middle of the dip stick.  Ran great for 3 hours then ...  I'm on hold with service right now seeing if I can get an exchange or repair.  Unfortunately I bought on line so return is not an option. 

I have a 10k westinghouse than ran my whole house for 7 days after a bad storm here. I was hoping for better.

Miserable experience and 2 days wasted so far

I purchased this generator in the event of losing power and needing something to run my sump pump off of. I was able to quickly this get unpackaged, follow directions to start and get what I needed to hooked up quickly.  Very straight forward use, runs well and easy to handle.
