perfect for power issues to keep major appliances going

Super quiet. Love it. I’m used to generators you can hear a half mile away.

Just purchased. First time generator purchase. So far so good. Easy installation and directions

Great to have as backup for our rv Researched and found a great unit

I bought it about a month ago and took on 2 camping trip we ran the generator on propane gas and was very easy to connect and start much cleaner than gasoline. We had a 9500 before and was overkill for us. The igen 2550 is lighter quiet and perfect for our needs. We just need to install the altitude kit because it won't run right without the correct setup.

"I'm thrilled with the Westinghouse New 2550 generator for my Airstream 16X Base Camp with the 9200 BTU AC. It's an inverter model, producing clean power safe for electronics. Fuel-efficient, quiet, and easy to start, it runs AC, fridge, lights, and more. It's compact design make it versatile and convenient. Safety features and a 3-year warranty add peace of mind. Highly recommend!"

Ran great the first summer it was used however the first use the second year it won't run smoothly. RPM's go up and down. At the end of the first summer the gas was completely drained before storing for the winter. Drained gas again after problem was discovered and filled with new gas-no change Plan on taking it in for a service check to see what the problem is.

My replacement unit that Westinghouse sent me has the exact same problem as the original unit I bought... The "Fuel Off-Engine ON" position on the Engine/Fuel control knob does not shut off the flow of fuel to the carburetor--- it is supposed to stop the flow of fuel but let the engine continue running so that it will run the fuel out of the carburetor for storage... But it only shuts off the flow of fuel when in the "Engine OFF" position. I don't know if the wrong parts are being installed on the assembly line or what... but two generators in a row (and I would assume a majority of them at this point...) with the exact same problem and assembly dates 5 months apart... and that's not right, it seems there is a definite defect with these units. The generator is very quiet at low power outputs, but if you load it up to the rated power output, that little 80cc engine has to work hard, and it does make some noise at full output. This could be a 4.5 star genny if the controls worked properly... but 2 units with the exact same problem... knocks it down to 2 stars. However, Westinghouse Customer service was good and shipped me the replacement unit with no hassle, so maybe it should be 3 stars... I would definitely recommend if they can get the Engine/Fuel control thing fixed...

This generator has been great. Came with everything needed in the box, the directions were clear and it started right up. I originally purchased this generator for my cabin but after realizing how much electricity I need vs what I thought - I now plan on using this to power my home necessities during a power outage.

I bought this generator to use with our small camper when Boondock camping and it works fantastic. We did not want to carry another fuel such as gasoline so having it run off of our propane tank is great. It's just enough power to run our air conditioner and microwave. Two thumbs up!
