In June 2024, we purchased JES2051SN5SS - serial number VV201414L, a very similiar microwave. Recently the heating element went out on it so we purchased the above microwave. We were very disappointed in the previous microwave only lasting a year and a half but hope that the new one will be better.

I love the style, the appliance is very attractive. The capacity is huge and just what I need. The controls are well organized and the auto cook buttons are some I will actually use. I also appreciate the high wattage. A lot of foods require a high wattage to cook properly. Just a great product at a great price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new GE Countertop 1200 watt Microwave Oven arrived yesterday, replacing a similar but smaller Microwave that died. We chose GE due to past satisfaction with GE products. The new Microwave is similar, with familiar easy to operate push button controls. So far, we are very pleased with the handsome look, the quiet operation and the large capacity. Congrats, GE !!!

So far the microwave is working well, but the door/button operation is very poor. It is hard to push the button and the door doesn't open easily. Makes it seem like a cheap product despite the great electronic features. The settings work well and are user friendly but the microwave doesn't seem to heat evenly despite being brand new. Recessed turntable and "floor" seem to need cleaning more often than my last microwave. Overall average product.

I ended up with this one because inverter microwaves usually recieve mixed reviews, with some premature failures, which was my experience with my panasonic that I had. I will say, they shouldn't have the mechanical child safety lock activated from the factory. I thought something was wrong eith the door u til I read the user manual. This is the first time I had to read a manual to figure out how to open the door. Good thing is, it's super simple to disable! It has great power, it's a decent size, performs well so far, and is pretty neat overall! So far I recommend to someone looking g a microwave of this size and wattage!

This microwave is just what I wanted. The controls are easy to read and the functions are very intuitive. It is powerful (plenty of wattage) and large enough to do everything I want it to do. It fits my countertop area well. I'm glad I could get white to match my other appliances!

Hope this 3rd microwave last like the 1st one and not the 2nd one (lasted only 2 years.) Like all of the features of the microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started out with a GE profile microwave which lasted for approximately 10+ years. Since I have a wall oven, this microwave is the only one which can fit into my existing trim kit! Unfortunately, the Trim kit is more expensive than the microwave, so not economical to replace it! This model only seems to last between 3-4 years , tops! It does do the job while it works.
