This is our second Westinghouse and it has a second bad starter. Manufacturer knows this and sent us a new starter. It was installed and still had. If I could, I would get my money back, but the manufacturer says they will send a new starter when the “good ones” come into stock as they had a whole set of bad starters. And the place I bought it from won’t take a return. Looking forward to Westinghouse sending me the updated, good version of the starter so that my brand new 12000W generator will finally work.

We bought this generator to run a food truck. It starts great, but turns off on its own every 5-20 minutes. We have done all of the troubleshooting and nothing helps. It is very frustrating. Also, it is very loud. The power is great, but that doesn't help much if it won't stay running.

I bought this generator for emergency backup, I’ve owned this generator for two years now and I couldn’t be happier. It has kept our house warm and comfortable through 10 power outages and has started every time even down to 5 degree Fahrenheit in a snow storm. I leave it outside year around I couldn’t be happier.

This is a very well built generator, it looks like it can take on a lot, 1 hour after it was out of the box after adding some fuel and connecting it to a propane tank it started on the first try and was able to go from gasoline to propane and back without any interruption. It is fairly quiet for its size and run very smoothly.

This is the third WGen generator I have purchased. I love the fit and finish and the WGen20000c seems to be the best so far. Unfortunately, during my first use of the generator there was a transient power draw somewhere inside the generator which took it down. I am hopeful that Westinghouse can make this good and I can upgrade my overall rating!

Just received and setup the generator. Overall its a very nice unit. Had my electrician put a hookup on my home to plug this into when power goes out....and I say "when" because it happens too often. Fairly quiet for the engine size, looks good, lots of connections. After setup I ran it for a bit just as a test. My electrician is coming back to test it on the house once my adapter cord arrives. A few items that I noticed while getting this setup which need to be addressed by the design/development team at Westinghouse..... 1. The oil funnel provided is OK but hard to get the angle to the engine fill and oil can spill back out of the provided funnel because the angle is so flat. Why not put an oil fill tube for easier access/filling for a unit at this price point 2. The oil dipstick is difficult to pull and then even more difficult to insert back without a gap that allows leaks. The wire handle is flimsy and this could be so much easier with a better design. 3. The assembly for wheels requires flat washers as spacers between the plastic wheels and step on the axle shaft. However, there is NO space to fit the washers and get the clevis/cotter pins installed so I had to leave the washers off. Just a bad design on this item. 4. Connecting the battery is a pain. The positive was connected already but the ground was not. However, you have to lay on your side on the ground and try to fit your hands inside the frame and feel for the bolt hole to assemble the nut and tighten it down. There is no room for this unless one has lady hands. Moving the battery outward would allow better and easier access to connect the battery ground. Just a few items that I noticed. None are deal killers and some are one time tasks unless/when you have to change the battery. Overall I really like the unit and looking forward to testing on the house this next week. My expectations are high for a quality unit to have as a backup generator.

I ordered this generator to replace one I've had for fifteen years but hardly used. I am happy I did, because this one has some nice features my old one didn't like, remote start and stop, dual fuel and it is quieter then my old one. The price really good and shipping was fast and excellent.

Had our generator delivered today...definitely they way to go, no idea how we would have gotten it out of our tuck without a tractor or skid steer. Easy to assemble, probably took 30 mins, might have been less had I had someone else to bounce questions off of. Overall happy with the purchase, will not worried when the next Texas freeze comes!!!

I just purchased the Westinghouse WGEN12000DF generator After my electrician visited to install my transfer panel, I hooked everything up and started my generator, Everything was wonderful. 60g 4500W hot water tank, 12000btu ductless heat pump, kitchen light and small round stove, TV and computer all worked like a charm with the low THD -5%. I'm ready for the next storm and the next power outage. Just one problem, have some friends with you so you can get this generator out of its wood create. Be careful when you connect sensitive electronic devices such as a heat pump you cannot use the low idles. Variation with the Herz. This should be indicated on the product sheet.

I bought this product less than a month ago and it was delivered promptly. Also, the packaging was really great. In order to avoid damage. Registering my product was very easy assembling. My product was very easy. Contacting customer service just to ask questions was very easy and I appreciate i the patience and kindness I was shown.
