Fired up on propane with in 15 seconds of cranking

I bought this generator because it was still portable and had a big enough rating to run my whole house, it is duel fuel (gas or propane) and has a remote control to start it from inside the house I have not had an opportunity to try it out during a power outage yet , but I am sure it will be used shortly, winter has not left us yet

WGEN20000

Works exactly as expected!!!!!! Features that influenced my purchase: Removable bonding jumper that can be removed without voiding the warranty. This is required to hook the generator to a breaker panel with an interlock kit. Two 240V/50A. Receptacles. This allows the generator to be connected to both my house's breaker panels at the same time. (400A service ) Good lifting point so that the generator can be safely lifted with the proper equipment. Downside- The generator is heavy so you will need some way of lifting the generator off the shipping pallet. No removable cover for storing the generator.

Starting Problems

I bought it a year ago, I only used it 4 times for around 30 to 40 minutes, 5 months ago the battery was completely discharged, 2 days ago it happened again, I charged the battery but the motor tries to start and stops, I can't make it start, I've already checked everything, oil, battery, gasoline, connections, everything the manual advised me to do. I'm going to try technical support through the Westinghouse website, because it's impossible to reach anyone by phone.

WGen14500 Dual fuel generator.

I bought the WGen14500 Dual fuel generator a month ago. I had a transfer switch professional put on my house. My electrician and I set up and tested the generator with propane. I was very impressed. Very well many and extremely user friendly and well designed.

What a Beast

We just recently bought the 9500 model generator but knew we wanted another so we went a little larger and got the 12000 model. We are very impressed, this thing is a beast. I wanted a cover for it, but they didn't carry one. I bought a grill cover and it fit just fine. We are definitely happy, just hoping that we do not have to actually use it this hurricane season.

Better than expected

After doing extensive research into the world of portable generators - I ran across a comparison chart. The chart gave exceptional insight on. 10 different generators. At the top of the list was the Westinghouse. I am glad I went with this purchase and the peace of mind that it will perform in an emergency is comforting.

Powerful and easy to use

I bought this a month ago and have used it one time already. It was powerful enough to power my entire home minus one of two AC units. Though very large it is relatively easy to move and a great value. Generac generators were quoted at 3 times the cost of this device and this one can go with me if I ever move.

Looking forward to putting it to work

Just recently purchased the 12500w/9500w tri fuel generator, I haven't put it to work as of yet but will be shortly. After putting it together I tried to sync the key fob but was unable to get it to link up to the unit otherwise I may have given 5 stars. Will update after some use.

Giant but Portable!

Well packaged, easy assembly and start up. Quieter than my 25 year old Powermate. The giant wheels are in the right spot to balance this beast and move it around on uneven ground. So far, I'm loving the push button start and remote during break in.

Power to spare for entire residence

This generator is a beast with the power to sustain my home during major power outage. The unit is able to run a 4 ton ac and hot water tank at the same time. This equates to 7500 watts with both running. Plenty power left for fridge and other minor house appliance. My ac does have the soft start by hyper engineering. The generator is well built. Two issues I did encounter is when I un-packaged the unit the carbon canister was detached from the bracket. Might of sustained rough transportation. The gas thank flange on the left side was slightly bent. You can tell because the bolt holding the tank same location as canister is bent. Gas not leaking and tank appears to be intact. Another minor annoyance is I cant get the generator out of my rear garage door. It is a standard door. I have to remove the door to get the unit out. If the door opened all the way it would be a tight fit. My door opens at 90 degree angle before hitting the wall. With door removed I have maybe 1/8 inch on each side of the wheels before it hits the door jamb. Did find a black screw in the bottom of the pallet and could not figure out where it came from. The screw is the same as the ones that hold exhaust heat shield together. Maybe accidentally left in the box during packing.
