I bought this two weeks ago. My residential power source is a rural electric cooperative. I bought it to provide backup power to my house in the event of future storm related high winds that can disrupt power for extended periods as happened this past summer. I am very happy with the quality and price of this generator.

Bought Westinghouse GEN. from Family Farm and Home. Owned a little over a year and it will not start (electric nor pull). Westinghouse is the Ford of small engines - DON’T TRUST THEM. GENs are easy to repair - fuel, fire and air, especially at a year old, but who has time for these games so early on? Not this guy, regardless of their warranty. If it malfunctions this quickly it’s not considerable. No excuses. It means the design engineer doesn’t care, thus the company doesn’t care. Poor Q/C and design. Shenanigans. Will have repaired and sell if anyone will buy it. We wonder why no foreigners want to sell or buy American made products made recently.

I live in Southeast Texas so dealing with hurricanes is something that folks around here just learn to do. I’ve had a 5500 watt generator for years, that worked just fine in a pinch to run fridges and freezers, a few lights and a window unit, but with that came extension cords ran throughout the house and only one room that was comfortable. After the derecho winds that hit us this year and then Hurricane Beryl, each causing power outages that lasted a week, I was fed up with dragging extension cords and having to choose what was going to be powered and what wasn’t. I really wanted the 20 kw tri-fuel but since they are still not available, I opted for the 14.5 kw Westinghouse. Ordered it in September and got the good news last week that it was being shipped, got it this morning, 11/1/24, put the tires on, added oil, hooked up the natural gas hose and let her rip. Ran it in for about an hour with no load. I had previously wired in two breakers (50 and 30 amp) to feed the breaker panel. Shut off the incoming power from the lines and connected the cords. Had also previously installed a soft starter on my 5 ton HVAC unit. That piece alone dropped my LRA on the compressor from 107 amps to about 29 amps during startup. Normal running amps is around 7. Anyway, I was able to power the entire house including AC and pool pump. The only item I didn’t try was the electric dryer. Worse case, I’ll just make sure the pool pump is off before running the dryer. All-in-all, very pleased with my purchase. With my luck, I’ll never lose power again but am ready if I do. I just bought this product and it is amazing with numerous ways to connect anything and everything you can imagine and also the way it’s so simple to use! Would recommend anyone who is looking for a generator to purchase this one, it’s worth every penny!

After days of online reviews and recommendations from friends we decided to make the purchase. This product is solid nothing cheap about the generator. I have never owned one until now. Right out the box its powers up, just add oil, fuel and starts up. its is heavy buy easy to maneuver once the wheels are installed. Tri fuel option is a great feature.

Bought the WGen9500DF generator. The generator has it all and is at a great price point for what it offers! Runs on both gas and propane! Pull start, push start or remote starting capabilities. 9500 running watts and 12500 peak watts. Great for the money. Plenty of 110 volt 20 A outlets along with two 240 volt outlets at 30 A and 60 A. Added oil / gas and it started right up! Happy with this purchase!

I’m 100% satisfied with this product it seems to be just what they told and explained what it could do and what it would not do. It seems just right for what I need for my home to run my air condition and refrigerator and keep my house pretty much going, you know as normal great product.

I bought this unit shortly after Hurricane Beryl. In my area having a generator is no longer optional. This unit offers exactly what I need which is dependability, multiple options, and versatility. If gas or propane is scarce I can connect the unit to my natural gas provided by my utility company. It came with a natural gas hose and a key fob which was an added bonus. The construction of the product is solid and comes with wheels and a foldable handle that makes it easy to move the generator as needed. It's simple this unit provides the power and functionality I need to power my entire house in the event of a power outage. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends.

We did our research across all generators and this meets our needs, and you can't beat the price! Easy to maneuver and put together. My 8 year old installed the wheels after shipping. Only downside was 3rd party shipper rescheduling but that's an amazon/drop shipping issue, not Westinghouse.

2nd time using the generator. I followed gasoline startup procedure, turned the fuel selector knob to allow for gasoline operation, fuel starts poring down into the engine and appears to be coming out in several places. Obviously I can’t use it now since it is a fire hazard. Very disappointed since it is only 2 months old.
