Great for home and office

Instead of getting the super big Generac one (which requires a huge propane tank install) we decided to buy this one it was the best investment we ever did. We have a well so when the electric goes out we don’t have any water. So it’s really important especially since the last power outage was 18 hours. We had the electrician put an outside outlet so we will be able to use everything inside except the heat pump. Now if you want your heat pump then you’re going to have to go to a bigger model. But we didn’t feel that was necessary because we have a propane stove to keep us warm in the winter and we have fans in the summer. This is a really good product and easy start which I was worried about. Remote start! 👏👏👏

VERY Disappointed So Far

We ordered two of these expensive generators. They say not to exceed half load during the first 5 hours. So, we decided to run it with a small load for 5 hours to have it ready to do during a power failure. So far, it has randomly died a few times. When it does, it's as if it tries to recover, but then dies and you can re-crank it after about 30 seconds. This is not going to work during all night power failures. Additionally, neither until had the washers in the box for the axels, or the trickle charger for the batteries. These are 20,000 watt units. They have no pull rope, so if the battery is dead when you need it, you're out of luck. They're supposed to come with a charger that can be left attached so the battery is hot when you need it. This is referenced throughout the manual, yet neither of my units arrived with one. If they keep dying, If you buy one, use your American Express card so you're protected.

Top of the line

I brought this generator in May and have used it a few time when the power went out. We had a 50 Amp connection wired to the house. My house is all elect and the generator ran everything in the house including the AC. I have only used propane up to this point. My house is a 2100 sq ft home and it had no problem powering everything.

28,000/20,000c generator

I really wished they stocked the multi fuel Gen, however Im in Texas so a generator is a must... this one fired right up like it supposed to however for first twelve hours it had a miss, I was going to have a small engine shop check valves and all, but around 12 hours she smoothed right out like a Cadillac.... I hate spending $$$ however this is one a few purchases in 2024 that I didn't get buyers regret...LOL this .machine is a beast runs an entire electric 2499 sq ft.house when hotwater heater turned on it never loaded engine, it ran my furnace(electric) as well..... this thing truely is a beast..... 1000000% recommend!!!!!!

Excelente generador!!!!

Follow up

Re 12000DF. Logic doesn’t seem to be a strong suit at Westinghouse. They require altitude adjustment above 2000’ to gas regulator but fail to provide settings to accomplish this. Also, as a whole house 24/7/365 generator, surprising the “battery switch” must remain on. However this drains the battery! Why deliver a remote start fob if you must go out to the machine to start it? A workaround is to wire in a 110v outlet near the generator to trickle charge the battery with the included 12v charger. Added expense. ☹️ On the brighter side, the unit ran my well pump, fridge, freezer, elec. dryer, microwave, misc lights and tv. It browned out when I added the toaster. Pretty good. Also, upper end operating temperature is sorely limited to 105 degrees. This is too low. If ambient temp is 100 and the generator is in a well ventilated shed, it might shut off when it is needed. California people pay heed, as this may not be the right unit for you, hot winds and blackouts. Other than running tests, I have not had to use the generator yet under a power outage.

Great deal for the features

Convenience for the wife is the most important consideration in purchasing this gennie. Dual fuel with propane capability means she doesn't needs to mess with a gas can. Not just electric start, but a remote fob means she doesn't even need to step outside to start or stop it.

Genny is a Beast!

Received yesterday and as apropos as it is the power went out shortly thereafter. Prepped her for her first run (easy) and hooked her up to a recently installed transfer switch and she powered the whole house, outbuilding, well pump and AC seamlessly! I decided to go with this portable vs. a more costly permanent placement and am very happy with my decision.

WGen20000c

This is the biggest portable generator I could find. I have tested it and works great and came with everything besides gas. The biggest issues is getting my house wired to accept this much power and unloading it from the shipping pallets because it is very heavy.

It's a Beast!

So far I'm incredibly impressed with the build quality, ease of use and power output of the WGEN14500DFC generator. We wound up being able to power far more within our house during an outage than we originally anticipated, and the ability to use propane eliminates a lot of the fuel stabilization issues I was hoping to avoid while still leaving gasoline as an emergency option. I'm very satisfied so far.
