Convenience for the wife is the most important consideration in purchasing this gennie. Dual fuel with propane capability means she doesn't needs to mess with a gas can. Not just electric start, but a remote fob means she doesn't even need to step outside to start or stop it.

After days of online reviews and recommendations from friends we decided to make the purchase. This product is solid nothing cheap about the generator. I have never owned one until now. Right out the box its powers up, just add oil, fuel and starts up. its is heavy buy easy to maneuver once the wheels are installed. Tri fuel option is a great feature.

We ordered two of these expensive generators. They say not to exceed half load during the first 5 hours. So, we decided to run it with a small load for 5 hours to have it ready to do during a power failure. So far, it has randomly died a few times. When it does, it's as if it tries to recover, but then dies and you can re-crank it after about 30 seconds. This is not going to work during all night power failures. Additionally, neither until had the washers in the box for the axels, or the trickle charger for the batteries. These are 20,000 watt units. They have no pull rope, so if the battery is dead when you need it, you're out of luck. They're supposed to come with a charger that can be left attached so the battery is hot when you need it. This is referenced throughout the manual, yet neither of my units arrived with one. If they keep dying, If you buy one, use your American Express card so you're protected.

Bought Westinghouse GEN. from Family Farm and Home. Owned a little over a year and it will not start (electric nor pull). Westinghouse is the Ford of small engines - DON’T TRUST THEM. GENs are easy to repair - fuel, fire and air, especially at a year old, but who has time for these games so early on? Not this guy, regardless of their warranty. If it malfunctions this quickly it’s not considerable. No excuses. It means the design engineer doesn’t care, thus the company doesn’t care. Poor Q/C and design. Shenanigans. Will have repaired and sell if anyone will buy it. We wonder why no foreigners want to sell or buy American made products made recently.

I’m 100% satisfied with this product it seems to be just what they told and explained what it could do and what it would not do. It seems just right for what I need for my home to run my air condition and refrigerator and keep my house pretty much going, you know as normal great product.

I live in Southeast Texas so dealing with hurricanes is something that folks around here just learn to do. I’ve had a 5500 watt generator for years, that worked just fine in a pinch to run fridges and freezers, a few lights and a window unit, but with that came extension cords ran throughout the house and only one room that was comfortable. After the derecho winds that hit us this year and then Hurricane Beryl, each causing power outages that lasted a week, I was fed up with dragging extension cords and having to choose what was going to be powered and what wasn’t. I really wanted the 20 kw tri-fuel but since they are still not available, I opted for the 14.5 kw Westinghouse. Ordered it in September and got the good news last week that it was being shipped, got it this morning, 11/1/24, put the tires on, added oil, hooked up the natural gas hose and let her rip. Ran it in for about an hour with no load. I had previously wired in two breakers (50 and 30 amp) to feed the breaker panel. Shut off the incoming power from the lines and connected the cords. Had also previously installed a soft starter on my 5 ton HVAC unit. That piece alone dropped my LRA on the compressor from 107 amps to about 29 amps during startup. Normal running amps is around 7. Anyway, I was able to power the entire house including AC and pool pump. The only item I didn’t try was the electric dryer. Worse case, I’ll just make sure the pool pump is off before running the dryer. All-in-all, very pleased with my purchase. With my luck, I’ll never lose power again but am ready if I do. This is the biggest portable generator I could find. I have tested it and works great and came with everything besides gas. The biggest issues is getting my house wired to accept this much power and unloading it from the shipping pallets because it is very heavy.

Instead of getting the super big Generac one (which requires a huge propane tank install) we decided to buy this one it was the best investment we ever did. We have a well so when the electric goes out we don’t have any water. So it’s really important especially since the last power outage was 18 hours. We had the electrician put an outside outlet so we will be able to use everything inside except the heat pump. Now if you want your heat pump then you’re going to have to go to a bigger model. But we didn’t feel that was necessary because we have a propane stove to keep us warm in the winter and we have fans in the summer. This is a really good product and easy start which I was worried about. Remote start! 👏👏👏

I have only had this for a month. It came in Perfect condition and very well packaged. I plan on using only propane to keep the engine clean. Starts on propane without a problem.I only wish it had a cord start. I will need to keep the the charger hooked up continuously. Depending on a battery in the winter is a bad idea.

I bought this Westinghouse generator because it was a TRI Fuel type and had a twin V engine, remote start and with more power than I need. This generator should last a long time. Built very well. Easy to install. Directions were easy to follow. A well built machine.
