Live on the gulf coast and am glad I have a generator to keep the house up and running during hurricane season if needed. It's way too hot down her to be with power and AC for too long. Love the fact that we can use our natural gas line and don't have to go hunting for gasoline.

Generator starts and runs and shuts off randomly. After 15 min. , 22, 5, 45, minutes . Been with out power. Tried at 3 in n the morning after let it cool down to see if there is a overheating but exactly same thing happened as I'm writing the review. My old general 8000 after being in storage for 3 yrs works perfectly fine in my neighborhood house after I let him borrow since I bought this new gen20000 generator. Garbage. Good luck!!!! with the tech support.

I purchased this generator the first part of November from Electric Generator Direct and received it at the end of January 2022. Perfect condition. The assembly was minor and specification manual and start up operation made assembly a cinch. Very happy with the product.

This generator has plenty of power for a single phase unit. It has plethora of Plugs that cover most of your possible 120/240 volt needs. All breakers are toggle breakers except for the 2 breakers for the 4 gfci circuits they are push to reset. Not a light weight unit at a little over 500 pounds. 2 guys to ramp it into the back of a pickup.

I bought this a few weeks back after using my Dad when I was in a pinch. It really performed well for what I needed. I live off grid so I need to use a generator often when there is excessive cloud coverage especially in the winter. The generator runs about 9 hours on 5 gallons of gasoline loaded at 3kW. Super easy to pull start or electric start and fairly quiet compared to what I'm used to. I would definitely recommend.

Packing was excellent, gen had no damage and was easily assembled in no time. Gen is 350lbs so l had my neighbor help me get it off the pallet. Hooked up a propane tank and it started on the first try. Haven’t put a load on it yet waiting for my electrician to hook up interlock switch. Will update if needed, so far very pleased with purchase.

Upgrade Justification: I upgraded from an 8kW generator, which required refueling during long events (e.g., 12-hour shifts). Refueling meant pausing service—even with a line of customers—just to add gas. That’s no longer an issue. Performance: This generator ran for a full 12-hour period on a single tank of gas without needing a refill. That’s a huge plus and a game changer for continuous service. 🔑 Key Notes & Considerations: CO2 Sensor Issue: The generator shut off three times while running in an open field. The lights indicated a CO2 sensor error. I solved this by placing a fan near it to keep air circulating—worked like a charm. Unsure why it triggered in open air, but something to watch for. Battery Management: After my first test run, I forgot to turn off the battery switch. Several hours later, I noticed a light still on. Unfortunately, the battery drained completely and now won’t recharge. Major downside: If the battery dies, there’s no manual recoil option to start the generator. Live in Texas, waited over a month for it to restock, ordered it on a Saturday showed up the following Thursday. Needed something to keep us powered during hurricane season and now apparently winter. Initial impression? Sturdy construction, easy assembly well built, clean, compact and looks great. Haven’t used it yet but it I’m waiting on my electrician to set up our interlock and 50 amp inlet. Once we get it on line I’ll update my review.

I bought this generator to upgrade from a smaller older unit. It seems well built and looks good. I haven’t had the chance to use it in a power outage yet but I plan to set it up as a semi permanent standby system. Westinghouse has the best reviews and that’s why I decided on this unit.

Living in Florida, I have three generators. This is the biggest and best yet ! This is my first dual fuel. Working on getting the correct tank for my use. It is all together and ready to go as soon as I get a tank. I have a family member that has a smaller Westinghouse, that is the reason for my purchase. I’m excited !
