Our new QNED

My husband just finished setting up our new QNED. We are so impressed with all it has to offer. We didn’t realize it would provide so many channels. Even before we set up cogeco on it. The colours are magnificent and we are very happy with it.

Initially, out of the box, the picture settings were set to max brightness, max contrast. Pretty harsh to look at. After a couple of hours using the Picture AI setup with a few manual adjustments - finally got the picture looking superb. No complaints. Great colors and contrast. Also, right out of the box, it needed a software upgrade. This was necessary, as functionally, it was very laggy and initially disappointing to use. Even after the update, there was still quite a bit of lag. Part of this was due to having some problems with connecting to my home wifi network. After rebooting my wifi router and reconnecting with the TV, much of the lag is gone and I'm very happy with the purchase. The remote took some getting used to. One tip is if you get into the 'floating cursor' mode using the center wheel button, just push the directional circle button %26 it'll go away. Initially on power up, you do get some lag with navigation, but that disappears in a few minutes. ** Recommend **

I haven't taken it out of the box yet. My Sony has two horizontal lines running through it, and it will stop working before long but, it still has a great picture on it. It is about 18 years old. I bought it from Circuit City in Prattville, AL.

Surprisingly happy after 4 months!

This tv was very confusing to me and the remote was even worse. However, as my skills have improved, I’ve really begun to like it. It has everything plus more that I could want/need and I found an LG magic remote with numbers from a big mail vendor. This is a great price for the tv and it will do just fine for me.

Bad remote

TV’s ok price was good mail was a little slow, the remote sucks, extremely difficult to use, not finger friendly, if has this little rotary ball in the center that’s hideous to use.

Hello. Thanks for sharing your experience with your LG TV — we really appreciate you taking the time to break down what worked and what didn’t. Glad to hear the TV and price hit the mark, though we totally get how a slow delivery and a remote that doesn’t feel intuitive can take away from the fun. Your note about the rotary wheel and overall usability is exactly the kind of feedback that helps us improve future designs. For more feedback or questions, please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. Thanks for choosing LG! #LifesGood ^James

First Magic TV👍

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall good value . Tough to get used to the need for a magic arrow but good idea. My only real issue may not be an lg problem. My spectrum remote won’t completely pair so I have to use two remotes. Spectrum thinks it’s because I have a dvr box. But why should that not allow the volume to be controlled by the magic remote? I’m doing some research. 🔬

Hi, Frank. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG TV (50QNED70AUA) model. We understand how important it is for the remote control to feel intuitive and responsive.

The “circle of light” you’re seeing is part of the Magic Remote’s pointer function, which allows you to move a cursor on the screen by waving the remote. If this feels confusing, you can disable or adjust it by going to Settings > General > Devices > Pointer Options and either turning off the pointer or reducing its sensitivity. For quicker response, make sure the remote is paired correctly with the TV—press and hold the Home and Back buttons together until the pairing message appears.

You can also use the directional buttons on the remote instead of the pointer for more traditional navigation, which many users find simpler. From Great to Meh: LG’s Decline

It’s the third LG I’ve bought, but this latest version seems to be the worst. The connection is weak, the remote is too basic — no number buttons — and the video quality hasn’t improved at all compared to the previous one I bought four years ago.

Won’t keep WiFi saved

My WiFi keeps changing to Xfinity even though I save my WiFi name. It doesn’t save the correct WiFi name and I have to go in and manually connect. It is very frustrating and time consuming. Unhappy with tv.
