[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like the iams pro active large breed dog food. My dogs really seemed to like it. Like the fact that it is healthy for them. Also, they didn't seem to eat as much as they do the other brand I was feeding. Didn't go to the bathroom as much either.

My dog can be a somewhat fussy eater at times, and he loved this food. Generally, I feed him while my kids are eating dinner in their high chairs and he will often choose to sit below the high chairs to get fallen scraps before going to clean out his bowl. However, when I put this in he ate it right away. That seems like a winner to me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first day we got the free bag from Iams, Sydney rushed over and gobbled it right up. Unfortunately, since then, she will only eat it if we mix wet food or table scraps with it; otherwise it sits in the bowl for hours. The same thing used to happen when we fed her Iams in the past. I wish she would eat it happily, but it takes coercion. We never have a problem with the junky brands.

We started because he has a touchy tummy, but after discovering many of the benefits, which I will list below. Overall health: Iams complete nutrition keeps him healthy and active. While we have tried assorted Iams varieties over the years, we have settled in to the large breed variety as the larger 'kibble' is great for his teeth. He loves the taste. While we have tried multi varieties, he likes them all, and tolerates them all. Less 'waste'. Before I heard of Iams, I used to purchase budget or store brand dog foods. As a good dog owner, I pick up after my animals. Since Iams is complete nutrition, and no filler, there is much less dog waste to pick up. Overall....I love Iams, and Sid (the wonder dog) loves Iams.

I've always liked and trusted the Iams brand and felt that the food was of a high quality, however sometimes we switch his kibble so that he doesn't get "bored". The package arrived while I was attending my night class and my mom decided not to open the box until I got home. She told me that my black lab, Buck, was sniffing the box and pawing at it like crazy!! I barely got the box opened before he was shoving his head in there excited for his new kibble. We opened the bag in a few seconds, which must've seemed like an eternity to Buck, and he began to eat handfuls of kibble out of our hands! We decided to mix the Iams Proactive Health Adult Large Breed kibble in with his current kibble (not an Iams brand) and I've found that he will eat around the other brand just to eat the Iams. I know that the first ingredient in this kibble is chicken, which is a good thing because I prefer to feed my dog chicken. Buck has been eating the Iams Proactive Health Adult Large Breed for approximately a week now since the package arrived, and in this time I've noticed that he does have more energy. He's constantly begging me to take him out for walks! At the ripe old age of 7 and the not-so-healthy-but-he's-perfect-anyway weight of 112 lbs, he's never been a fan of running around outside but that has certainly changed within the past week! I'm very excited, as is Buck!, to continue this campaign and see how youthful he can feel with Iams Proactive Health Adult Large Breed!

We have tried pedigree before and she always seemed hungry all the time but after trying this Iams brand she seemed happy and full after. We would definitely purchase this and recommend it.

It's nice to know that she's getting a little extra support for her joints too. No tummy troubles. She looks forward to breakfast and dinner and dives right in. No hesitations. After 1st meal, Russ (my dog) was so excited every time I went to feed him. Maybe he knew the extra nutritional value who knows lol. He would stand by my side as I scooped out his breakfast and dinner even started to nudge my leg to get his bowl to his feeding mat. I received a complimentary bag of Iams ProActive Health For Large Breeds dry dog food from Iams through BzzAgent. My dogs usually, if not always, have been eating wet dog food, so I was surprised that my large dog is loving this brand of dry dog food. We switched to wet dog food a few years ago because my dogs just one day decided not to like dry dog food. Prior to having Iams in his diet, my dog has always had a thick and shiny coat of black fur. I don't think Iams has any effect on his fur only after a few days of eating it, but so far, he still has his beautiful coat of fur. What I noticed is he has less shedding after I switched him to Iams. We were so used to seeing clumps of fur on the carpet, but now, we don't see those anymore. As for his digestion, it's still normal. He didn't have any runs or irregularities due to the change in his diet. And that is a major plus because my dog has a sensitive tummy, and gets the runs whenever he eats something different from usual. Overall, my family, especially my dog, loves Iams! I can't wait to see the long term benefits that Iams brings to my healthy dog.
