(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The food smells good, however, it's a bit drier than the other dog food I used to buy. I have let my dog try it individually before mixing it up with her other food. It's best that the Iams food is mixed up with a canned / wet food to make it less "dry". My dog is a picky eater, but she seems to enjoy this food. It's also falls under a decent price range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before participating in the Iams Proactive Health dog food campaign, my Roscoe was eating Iams healthy naturals. Normally I'm not a fan of changing his food due to his sensitive stomach. The last time I changed his food it upset his stomach. Since it was the same brand I decided to take the chance. Before starting him with Iams Proactive health dog food he was over weight; thanks to my dad. Although he is still a young adult dog I was concern about his joints and health. Looking at the benefits of Iams proactive health was a plus for me . The benefits was just what I needed such as healthy joints, strong bones, healthy metabolism, healthy digestion and most importantly meat is the first ingredient. When I received my free bag from Iams myself and Roscoe was excited. He just knew it was for him. I allowed him to taste it and he loved it at first taste. So now he loves it and will eat the new Iams proactive health over his Iams healthy naturals. But the most important and best part of trying the new Iams proactive health is that I notice he is slimming down. I will make sure to provide update on Roscoe with his final transformation!!

One has food allergies, & the other one likes to over indulge so I was very excited for my boys to try the new Iams dog food. They couldn't wait for me to open the bag & were wolfing it down. Both have slimmed down (ever so slightly) and really enjoy the food. I have noticed that their energy level is up and that they are shedding a little less (from more quality ingredients?). Definately worth trying

He has been a Iams dog since the day my son rescued him from the side of the road, when he was about 8 weeks old. He is a very important part of our family and so is his health & nutrition. Because he is a large breed, strong muscles & joints and healthy bones are essential to his longevity. I was thrilled to receive a bag of the ProActive Health Adult Large Breed dog food for him to try from Iams. The transition has been very smooth. He loves it and therefore so do I!!! He will always be an Iams dog!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wouldn't consider my dog a picky eater, especially considering the fact that I once caught him eating out my cats litter box. So I thought that he would gobble this food up super quick. This was not at all the case. Hank wanted nothing to do with this dry food. I thought of I mixed it with his wet he would eat it but he also turned his nose to this food. Once again my dog isn't picky but he really wouldn't touch this. The food he was getting before was also an Iams product so I'm not sure why he didn't like this particular kind. I even mixed some of his previous dry with the new dry and he didn't like it. I relented and let him go back to his original formula and he seems happy now.

There was no problem with switching between brands if food she was served. I was glad Iams did not have the fishy smell like many dry dog foods do and I was providing my dog with a balanced diet in her old age.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Iams has been the ONLY food I've fed my son's Service Dog Hannah since we got her at the age of 1 yrs. She plays a very important and vital roll in my son's life. Iams uses the best ingredients and is STILL affordable and can be found in the grocery isle (HUGE reason why I love it!) Hannah's coat is always shiny and at the age of 10 she has NO hip, bone...joint issues!!!

I own 2 mastiffs, one Bull Mastiff that weighs 130 lbs and one English Mastiff that weighs 200 lbs. I have used IAMS large breed for 8 years, once they got past the puppy stage. I used IAMS for puppies prior to that. My dogs are 8 and 9 and are healthy as horses. Mastiffs tend to have quite a few health issues, but not my boys. I do give them joint supplements now that they are older. Everyone always tells me how great they look. They coats are beautiful. I expect to have many more years with my dogs, so thanks IAMS!

I have three dogs, a german shepard mix (pit bull and shar pei in him also), an american eskimo, and a pomerinan. I feed them all the large breed adult (not maturity) formula. My two biggest both have joint problems due to age, breed tendency and injury and my pom has knee problems due to breed tendency. They all are doing wonderful on this. I have noticed that my big guys want to play more and they are going on 15 years old. My pom also wants to play more becuase his knee doesn't hurt any more. Keep up the good work!

We’ve had our dog on this since she was a puppy. She’s now 9 years old and our 4 year old dog has been in it as well. Both of them love this food from what I have a served as well. Sometimes we switch it up and buy the mini chunks, but still the same kind and brand,
