[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog ( Golden Lab) loved this food. The ingredients were solid and seem to comply with the healthy standards you expect for your best friend. I slowly mixed it in with his previous food and so there were no stomach problems. Occasionally with his previous food he would not eat in the morning and then try to inhale his dinner meal. However, with this food he always ate it all and seemed to look forward to meal time. Keep his bathroom times regular and expected so he and I knew what schedule he was on. This really helped with being comfortable when I needed to leave him at home or when I really needed some sleep. Quality product and no stomach issues.

I hadn't actually thought of trying IAMS yet but I did and my dog has had far less gas and my roommates are not complaining about how stinky he is! Overall as of week one I love this food for Bruno and will continue buying if for sure!

Now that her large chocolate lab has been eating it a while she is happy to report her dog loves it! At first she thought maybe her dog was just excited for something new, but she continues to gobble it up. She likes that it promotes strong bones, muscles, and joints. Her dog is moving slower as she ages due to joint pain and is hoping this food will help. Iams makes great quality products.

I gave her a small amount in her bowl and she loved it and wanted more. i gave her another serving and she ate it right up.. She loved it and I will give it again.. But I know that she loves it..

The ingredients make me happy and food makes my pooches happy! I have a basset/ cocker mix and an Australian Shepard/ border collie mix! They both love it!!

I have been gadually adding it to her other food and she eats it with gusto. It's still a bit too early to see if the benefits of the glucosamine have totally kicked in yet. all I know, it that she absolutely loves the taste of this food. And that's a major plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free bag of ProActive Health Large Breed Dog Food from Iams. My two gentle giants love this stuff. I have a black lab, Great Dane, golden retriever mix who weighs in at about 130 pounds, as well as a chocolate lab who weighs probably about 70 pounds. They've both been eating this food for about 3 weeks now. One thing that I was concerned about was how a change in food would affect their bodies. I was prepared for diarrhea and lots of gas, but fortunately none of that happened. After about a week, I did notice that they weren't having bowel movements as much, but I was told that this is because they were eating a food with less fillers and that will inevitably happen. That was great for me, because they seemed to stay fuller for longer, and I was able to cut down on the amount I was feeding them. There were no problems at all with the switcheroo. From the first time they found this in their bowl, they munched it down like they'd been eating it forever. I decided to do a little experiment a few days ago and gave them their old dog food for breakfast. The chocolate lab hesitantly ate it, all the while giving me strange looks out of the corner of his eye. The lab/dane/golden mix flat out refused to eat. We're talking about a dog who loves to eat dirty socks and tootsie rolls from the cat litter box, so I certainly wouldn't describe him as a finicky eater. However, he would not take a single kibble of the old food. I finally gave in and gave him his Iams, and he ate without any problems. I think the wagging tail in the picture says it all. Feeding my dogs Iams makes me feel like I'm doing something special for them. I know that they're getting the essential nutrients they need to maintain their healthy large bodies. Knowing that large dogs tend to have shorter life spans than small dogs makes it even more important to me to know that they're eating a nutritious food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While gradual switching over my boy to iams the final countdown was the best.i mean I couldnt keep him away from his bowl, he became a new dog, with a different outlook on his daily living, he became more energetic, vibrant, you could see the healthy glow in him, to anyone that has a large breed dog, a youngster still, we both recommend this iams dog food FREE from the manufacturer, and when I saw we I mean me and my dog Bruno.

Quality ingredients and I'm guessing a superb flavor since my girl loves it so much. The transition to large breed formula went off without a hitch. No upset stomachs and definitely no hesitation with consumption. IAMS has been great for my girl to maintain a healthy weight! Two thumbs up or....2 paws up from us!

He eats it quickly and really seems to enjoy it. His coat seems to be getting a little shinier. This dogfood seems very healthy for him. He is a very energetic dog and needs a good dogfood to give him energy.
