I use it as a treat for training. Also as a food. We run a rescue. Never had a dog not like Iams. FLOATS on water and is a great food to teach a dog to swim.

We had recently switched our dogs food to this and it turned out to be the worst decision possible. Within a week she had diarrhea and recently broke out into a severe case of itchy hives. Our dog is very healthy and has never had any problems. We know it’s this food because we didn’t change anything else.

Before we got her she was abused and the iams got her back to normal weight and movement. It is easy to maintain her weight now that she is getting older. We love iams!!!

Once I started pouring it into the bowl they immediately started chowing down as if they hadn't eaten for days! Every time they heard the rattle of the bag they ran to their bowls, so I'm guessing this is their new favorite food! Thank you Iams!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first week of switching my dog to Iams was a bit challenging. As with most pet food switches, we did it very gradually. First, we mixed about 1/4 of the food with 3/4 of her old food. For a while, she would eat around the Iams. By the end of the week though, she was eating it like normal. I didn't notice any stomach problems or any other changes.

We have been giving the Iams to him for the past week... He seem's to absolutely love it! He eats all of what I give him in his bowl three times a day.. Seem's to be absolutely happy with it! We had just bought a bag of IAMS Proactive Health for Large Breed Dogs a couple of days before receiving a bag from IAMS to try for free. It took almost two weeks before Buddy would eat the IAMS without mixing it with anything else. He just didn't seem to want to eat it. So after feeding him two 15 pound bags we switched back to his previous dog food. We were looking forward to being able to switch to IAMS permanently since it's cheaper than his current food.
