Therefore when making the leap from run of the mill to a high quality we did a lot of research. This was one of - if not the best consumer carpet cleaner on the market at the time of purchase. We can personally attest now that this is the BEST carpet cleaner you can buy. It is easy to assemble, is very well built and does an amazing job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this product to clean up after pet messes and renew old carpet in lieu of replacing it. The assembly was easy. Works quite well to remove dirt, even old stains. We did use the dedicated Bissell solution with it and added the OXY boost that came with the unit. It's a bit heavy when filled with water so my husband has been moving it from floor to floor for me. The really deep ground in messes will take a few round to get all stains but my carpets are really really bad - 3 little kids + 2 dogs and a messy husband! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this a few times already. I am overall pleased. It cleans very well and gets a lot of dirt out. The brush rolls are powerful. I do not think it does well on set in stains. The clean shot button is great for pre treating. After I did the carpets I went back over with a stain remover and a rag to get the rest. Over all I am happy with its performance. I am excited to see how it does on the stairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An 8' x 10" rug needed me to refill the clean water container FIVE times using it as directed. It did an ok job of cleaning, although I had to do it twice. It's extremely bulky and hard to maneuver. If you go off the edge of the carpet water goes all over the floor and you need a towel. It does a good job of sucking the water back out of the rug. Overall it is ok but had I tried it before I purchased I would have passed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This carpet cleaner is an exceptional value. We have dogs in our house and so need to clean frequently to avoid dog smell. This cleaner cost me less than two Stanley Steemer visits, and it does a fantastic job. It is relatively lightweight, not like the cleaners that you rent at the store. I have gotten up spots with this cleaner that the last professional cleaners I paid to clean the carpets did not. Love this cleaner!!!

I had the Pro Heat 2 upright carpet cleaner for almost 10 years and loved it but it was time to upgrade to the new 1986 model. What sold me on the new one was the ease of using the 2 water containers, the cleaning of the brushes and under side, the pet spray and the lighter weight. I would recommend keeping the engineers that came up with this model. We also enjoy the light weight of the Steam Mop for our hard floors and the results of the Power Force Upright Vacuum.

Bought it last month and have used twice. Our carpet hadn't been cleaned for many years and I was not sure how much this carpet cleaner would achieve. I first used it on the dirtiest place - from the door from the garage to the kitchen. It took me a good half hour, maybe longer, to do the pretreatment, shampoo and clean water rinse. I am 5'2 so the thing is heavy for me when both tanks are in use. But the result was amazing! Watching the machine sucking up the dirty water was mesmerizing! When the carpet dried the next day, my husband said that the carpet was as good as new. I wish the dirty water tank could store more though. The tank itself is a good size but the "Full" line is pretty low, looks about 1/3 from the bottom of the tank, which took me by surprise the first time it became "full" and the machine stopped sucking up water. I thought it was broken! Anyway, due to that fact, when cleaning a large area, I had to stop and go empty the tank too many times to my liking. However, now that I had done the thorough cleaning, I expect future cleanings to be lighter and faster, with much less water usage and fewer trips to empty the dirty water tank. All in all we are very happy with the purchase. Should have bought this carpet cleaner years ago.

I owned an older model that I let a friend borrow and it broke so I had to buy a new one. So glad I did. The only thing that was a negative was the loudness.
