Bought it last month and have used twice. Our carpet hadn't been cleaned for many years and I was not sure how much this carpet cleaner would achieve. I first used it on the dirtiest place - from the door from the garage to the kitchen. It took me a good half hour, maybe longer, to do the pretreatment, shampoo and clean water rinse. I am 5'2 so the thing is heavy for me when both tanks are in use. But the result was amazing! Watching the machine sucking up the dirty water was mesmerizing! When the carpet dried the next day, my husband said that the carpet was as good as new. I wish the dirty water tank could store more though. The tank itself is a good size but the "Full" line is pretty low, looks about 1/3 from the bottom of the tank, which took me by surprise the first time it became "full" and the machine stopped sucking up water. I thought it was broken! Anyway, due to that fact, when cleaning a large area, I had to stop and go empty the tank too many times to my liking. However, now that I had done the thorough cleaning, I expect future cleanings to be lighter and faster, with much less water usage and fewer trips to empty the dirty water tank. All in all we are very happy with the purchase. Should have bought this carpet cleaner years ago.

She is also a border collie who brings in a lot of dirt from her long hair. I LOVE this carpet cleaner, and I'm so happy I bought it. I've been thinking about getting all new rugs, but it turns out, I just needed a good enough cleaner to make them smell, look, and feel brand new. SO happy with this purchase. Its also such a cute aesthetic, I kind of love having it in my laundry room to look at lol. So excited that all my carpets and rugs will feel fresh and clean whenever I want!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: Unit is easy to carry and has powerful suction. The Bissell PRO Max formula truly is great a removing pet stains and odors. Used to clean 20 year old carpets and cushions on our sectional. The MAX clean mode really gets some embedded pet hair, dirt, and even sand on our carpets. I also really appreciate the entire cleaner can be broken down to clean out the dirty tank and the main vacuum head. The accessory cleaning base is really a cool feature and helps wash grime out of the brush rollers after each use. So far my favorite tool is the crevice tool, it is amazing for cleaning around trim. The bad: The dirty tank is rather small so you have to empty often, especially in MAX clean mode. Also, the cleaning hose and accessories tend to get clogged with pet hair, however our carpets have not been cleaned in years so might be from poor maintenance and not necessarily the Bissell design. So this is the main reason I'm giving a 4/5 Star rating It's easy to clean the hose with the Cleaning tool and running water backwards thru the hose after cleaning. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and I think Bissell makes some of the best carpet cleaning formula on the market. The Febreze scent is amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this carpet cleaner to try and keep up with our dogs mishaps ... first time using the machine I was very pleased how well it cleaned up a recent spot. We had some other much older spots that we tried cleaning by hand best we could.. so I tried the machine on those areas .. and much to my surprise it cleaned them too. I've used other machines that were more work than they were worth .. this one is very easy to use and to clean once finished. Only thing that I have found that I would like to see changed is.. it would be nice if I could turn off the main brushes when using the hand held attachments.

Attachments very easy to use, emptying the tank couldn't be easier, and cleaning it also is very easy. Directions are great also, very clear and easy to follow.

I love my clean carpet and cleaning the machine after using it was always a chore. But now it's a BEAUTIFUL thing when cleaning the machine in the tray is wonderful, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is easy to set up, easy to use and easy to clean. It worked great, cleaned dirty tracks in my carpet and now it looks great edge to edge. The carpet dried quickly and does not seem to be any residue left form the cleaner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this one to replace an older machine that finally died on us. We have several dogs, and this machine is working wonders on our area rugs and floor. It took out a couple of ground in stains and cleaned the floors near the door where they come in from out side. The ease of cleaning the machine is great. Being older having the smaller water/solution and pick chambers is much easier for me to use than the older machine with the combined chamber was.

I use this cleaner for my carpeting in my home. I bought this model to replace my 17 year old Bissell that stopped working and I was pleasantly surprised to find some improvements over my older model. I believe it cleans even better than my last unit. I would warn, however, that you should be willing to do a rinse step (just clean water) as I have always found that it's impossible to remove all the detergent without a rinse even though the manual doesn't mention that as a step to do.
