As easy as a vacuum cleaner and just as light. Just two tanks cleaned my whole living/dining room. I have had carpet cleaner just for a week. I have cleaned our bedroom carpet and I found it easy to use and did an excellent job. The carpet dried in a few hours. I have a carpet runner on a fairly large staircase. I'm not sure how I will reach the middle few stairs. That would be my only complaint. Other than that it is great.

This carpet cleaner is strictly for removing stains from carpets/rugs/fabric furniture and is not for removing hair.It is intended to be used with both the wet and dry settings. If you are looking for a cleaner to remove pet hair only then look elsewhere. If you are looking for a carpet cleaner to make an old, stained carpet look new again, then this is exactly what you need.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did a lot of research on carpet cleaning machines and consistently, this ProHeat 2X Pet Pro was at the top. Pulled the trigger and had the opportunity to use it last weekend with outstanding results. I first vacuum the carpet, then wet the carpet with hot water only. This allows the shampoo to really settle in and do a better job cleaning. Then add more water and shampoo mixture to finish it off. Moving SLOWLY is the key when you're pulling up the water and shampoo mixture. This will yield better results in terms of cleaning and the dryness of the carpet. My only negative comment on the product is the tanks are both very small. If you're doing area rugs or very small rooms it will be fine. If you have more area to cover this means a lot of emptying and refilling. For this reason, I couldn't give it 5 starts but feel like my rating should be about 4.5.

Just had professional cleaners clean my carpets in October and so far this has done as good as or a better job than the professionals. Nit only did it clean my carpets well but it also cleaned a couch good enough that we can use it again! It was easy to use, the floors and couch dried completely in less than 8 hours and it didn't hurt my back to use it #sweepstakes

I just wish it was a little cheaper or came with some of the "free" items I saw in an ad AFTER I bought and ordered this steam cleaner. Would've been nice to have a tray to sit it on. Besides that it has a powerful suction, easy to maneuver, easy to take a part and clean. Overall a great product!
