I have two dogs and a cat. I wish I would have bought this one the first time. My last Bissell was 10 years old. It wasn't the Pro Pet Carpet Cleaner. This one is so much easier and does a better job with everything. I am guessing my old model probably has some of the fantastic updates. Cleaning the machine is so much easier. Knowing the level of water left and being able to choose quick dry...which does a great job, too.

I will not have to hire a professional to come in at all for now. I feel like this is one of the best purchases I have made this year. Its a bit heavy. We had to carry it upstairs in order to clean the bedroom and hallway rugs, but im ok with it. Thanks Bissell for making such a fine machine.

Tried other cleaners and nothing worked, stains were still there. Used my new Bissell cleaners and products only once and no scrubbing with my hands, the stains were gone. EVEN AFTER A YEAR!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great machine! Easy to assemble, very light weight and boy did it clean my carpet, area rug and stairs to perfection! Easy to remove water and waste water tanks. Hose is long enough to minimize the need to move the machine. Suction is remarkable which I guess accounts for the noise of the machine. So happy with this product!

Granted, I have a sensitive sense of smell, but after going over the areas several times, I feel like I can still smell odors. Perhaps this vacuum's suction isn't strong enough to reach the carpet padding, but that would make a huge difference with stubborn odors. It also could leave areas, such as where the wall meets the carpet, fairly damp. Per recommendations via You Tube, I put weight on the brush roller for better suction, but the areas stayed pretty damp. I ended up blotting the wettest areas towels. This carpet cleaner helps, but I wish it had better suction.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Bissel pet pro. It handles even the pet stains I couldn't get to until they've set into the carpet. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't suck its moisture all the way up in the end and winds up dripping a fair amount back onto the carpet after I've turned off the machine.

I use the recommended Bissell cleaning solution and it leaves my rooms smelling fresh. It does a great job of cleaning the carpets. It removes urine stains from pets very well. My friends and family regularly borrow it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] By far, the best product I've bought! I've used other brands of shampooers and nothing compares to the ease and effectiveness of this one! I have long hair and four animals (two German Shepherds and two cats which are a long and short hair). This machine allows for easy disassembling to make sure you can clean brushes and parts of the machine without having to get the directions out every time you do so. The stain shot on the side of the carpet cleaner is the smartest thing I've ever seen! I can't tell you how many times I've tried to "soak" a stain and taking a guess rather than being able to be on target and using only the amount of cleaner I need for treating. The size of this things makes my life way easier without the hassle of it weighing an obscene weight for easy transportation and quicker time to complete my tasks.
