Bought this machine directly from BISSELL. Arrived in 1 box about 1 week later. Had to put it together which took about 2.5 minutes and was dumb easy. Watched all the videos to mix the soaps/chemicals and care for machine. I did 2 rooms and stairs. This machine works great! It operates so easy that I will be cleaning my rugs on a regular basis. No renting the rug doctor and killing myself to get as much done in a 24 hour period before returning the machine. I also got the stair tool. Wow, it works great. Don't fool yourself stains/spots take time to work them out but the machine is comfortable to use and with a twist of the tip the stair tool gets in the cracks and round curves at the front of each step. My clean up was easy and is ready for the next job. This machine is going to be very easy for the occasional pet accidents too. The only thing I could possibly think of to improve this system is on the stair tool. Make it a little stiffer to rotate to each setting. I love this machine and was a great purchase.

I am assuming that the heat part is what I was having issue with just started smoking and then the whole machine completely stop. FYI this is my second don't use on shaggy carpet Only flat rugs

We were told the carpets were sanitized but the stains were permanent. We got our Bissell and it took up everything they couldn't! I couldn't be happier with our Bissell and I will forever hype up getting a Bissell before having a business do it for you. You'll get the job done right with a Bissell.

OMG!! I never usually give reviews but had to let people know how great this product is!! It did a fantastic job on my rugs! It had been a long time since they had been cleaned. I have a family of 5 plus a dog and a cat. When I was done all the rugs looked brand new and they are 20 years old. I then decided to do my Mother's rugs that are 24 years old and only been cleaned 1 time. There was a path from her front door to the kitchen, from the constant foot traffic and a very large grease stain. Lo and behold the Bissell removed the grease stain and cleaned the footpath easily! The rug looks brand new! I have a very happy 82-year-old mother! Thank you Bissell!

So far, I have only used it for our basement carpet. We had cats in the past that were old and had bad toilet habits. We tried to keep up with the accidents using spot cleaners but if you don't have a machine to suck the fluids out of the carpet, the stains show their ugly faces over time. This machine was a last ditch effort to save the carpet, and I am glad to say that the results were great and we won't need to replace it, as I feared. All said, the machine did a great job and I am pleased with my purchase!

Dirty water tank is "full" about 3-4 times a use of clean water, only made it 1/2 way on stairs. So you have to really pay attention or you will end up with standing water. Got a good amount of stuff out of my carpets and rugs. Very easy to use, although I can't figure out why it's called a pro heat when he doesn't heat at all. So that's a little misleading. All in all it's decent, you can get better and you can definitely get worse. Nothing to write home about.

Used to love Bissell products have 2 vacuums and the steam mop. All but one have been sort of fixed while under warranty and one completely exchanged. Quality has seriously been slipping. Purchased this to steam up heavy traffic areas. Tried it out on our living room and was impressed by the quick clean. One week later beautiful job on upstairs hall. Now 1 month later ready to tackle the den before the holidays and machine will not turn on. Outlet works, used the same one to vacuum before setting up proheat. Expensive machine for just two uses. To knowing I will have to drive nearly an hour each way for repair or wait to receive a "refurbished " unit ( last time the replacement unit was worse than the broken one I sent back) I pretty done with Bissell products.

My previous Bissell Carpet Cleaner lasted 15+ years so of course when it finally gave up the ghost i pretty much didn't even look at another brand. We have always had Saint Bernard's and yes they can make a mess, however, my Bissell has cleaned up everyone one of them. It took a minute to get used to the new one but all in all it works just as good as my last one, maybe even better. If you want a clean carpet that rivals any pro job get this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is the best cleaning machine I have ever owned, but the catch basin only fills about 1/5th full before it closes. It's like having the biggest screen TV with no volume... I would fire the engineer that designed the catch basin and give the job to the engineer that designed the base. Depressing!

It is useless , except for leaving a carpet wet and dirtier than it was before. Even after much vacuuming and a dog who is groomed and doesn't really shed, my beige carpet looks dirtier than when I started to shampoo it. I am another disappointed Bissell customer. Switching to another brand.. This one, used only a few times, since its purchase in January ,is going to the trash bin.
